What a lovely little tea room! Each customer given personal attention by the manageress and served with a smile by the waitresses. Whilst not spacious downstairs each table is positioned to allow some privacy and there are more tables in an upstairs room. The food was very good and the choice between typical greasy spoon and homemade quiches and cakes was difficult. They cater for vegetarians/ vegans and gluten free too. Overall an excellent stop for breakfast brunch and afternoon teas. Thank you very much ladies!

Never again!!!!ordered a jacket potatoe with tuna , which I always order anywhere for my lunch, OMG nearly £10 and the potatoe was small only just warm, a couple of dessert spoons of tuna and that was it appalling.I really do not know how they could serve something like that ,no side salad nothing .Sorry owners you should be ashamed of serving that up .

Why are cup of tea could be better nice food but a long waiting list and 2 price you're living on your you're living on your laurels a little bit was David Cameron win the years ago you think you can charge a fortune but you're living in the past.

STOP earting breakfast at any hotel in Ely!
The Market Kitchen does the best English Breakfast. With a choice of the normal or larger variant, you can enjoy quality, freshly prepared food at a price that is more than acceptable.
Either inside or out, enjoy the morning sun from 9am with the best breakfast in Ely, accompanied by the freshly made selection of coffees and teas. (who needs Starbucks).

Jacket potato!!! No longer do a lovely side salad. Gutted!panini borderline burnt and chips needed longer. Lots of older generation eat in but have to squeeze through to till and mingle in with takeaway que,while staff standing around ?

We had a lovely lunch here today. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting and all the staff we encountered were lovely. Food was clearly cooked fresh to order and was great quality. Good selection of choice as well! Thank you very much ??

Stopped here with the family for breakfast. All the breakfasts with lovely. My only complaint were fried eggs were over done.
Would come here again, and maybe have lunch next time.

Horrible "Atmosphere". It was a nice sunny day and was the first time trying this place out. as it was facing the sun and saw an empty table we went in. Food was ok but even if there was a free table downstairs they said they are keeping it for elderly so we will be seated upstairs. Fair enough, after already ordering didnt have much choice, but the room was ridiculously decorated. Was a dark room, no sun , cold, smelled like cleaning producs combined with urine, had to open the window. Neon yellow walls with lavender purple and blue chairs, after 30 mins waiting the food I felt like getting a migraine. Chairs looked like hospital chairs, and just plastic "plants" here and there. We would have left but already ordered the food. Never again. Also shortly after us there were other older people that came upstairs so what was the point? Why would you do this to anybody??? Yes there was a baby shower upstairs in the other room and there was not a lot of space , but why put us in that room if there was a empty table downstairs, and why decorate a room like this even if might be dedicated for kids events? Your cafe is not placed in the middle of the highway to need neon colors.
