Very disappointed to find ?push button coffee? in a place that really warranted a decent cup of coffee. With. Nice location, atmosphere and selection of cakes I expected the coffee to be to a similar standard but it was poor, machine coffee.

Fantastic spot on the way to Cambridge

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime in October. The restaurant was busy but there was no feeling of any rush. The staff were fabulous, warm and professional. The decor was tasteful yet modern and added to the general ambience. Despite the room being busy the noise level was ideal for conversation. We all had a different type of Flammenkuche and could quite easily have shared them. They were delicious and so obviously freshly prepared and cooked. We finished with a sticky toffee pudding, this time to share, and it is really clear that the pastry chef knows what they are doing.
This is brilliant restaurant with food and customer experience at its heart.
We will be back, without a doubt.

£3.60 for a coffee is ok, pushing a button on a machine to make it is not.

Had great hopes for the cafe as it has been taken over by Amelie. But just 2 young girls serving and no one clearing tables of sweeping the floor. The 2 girls were very good and very professional which is why I have given them 5 stars. But they needed another person to sweep up the food on the floor and clear and clean the tables. It's a pity that hasn't changed since it was run by Ben's Yard. My friend had a cheese scone and a piece of cake. Her cake was nice but the scone was very hard on the outside and she had to eat the inside and leave the hard edges. I had the tuna pasta but had to ask at the till to see the allergy list as nothing on the container that the pasta was in. I was told they didn't have one, which I thought by law you had to have one. The lady instead rang the kitchen and asked the chief. The pasta was OK but dry and too much herbs in it which was overpowering. I later went back to get a piece of cake as I was very excited to see there was a separate glass cabinet with vegan cake. I choose the pecan brownie but firstly the writing on the cabinet said £3.00 but I was charged £3.85 and when I questioned it I was told it was wrong. Then I was given a bag with the tiniest piece of cake in it. I then questioned that, as in the cabinet they were squares of brownie. I was told that the squares were two pieces that hadn't been separated. So all the squares arranged in the glass cabinet gave you the false idea that that's what you get. The cake my friend had earlier was a square. Photo attached. The brownie was really nice and I did enjoy it but won't be buying it again.
