As regular pub restaurant diners my wife and I are no strangers to good and not so good food. We took our grandson for dinner and we were blown away by the highest quality of produce on our plates.
My bone in steak was huge and delicious served with choice of 8 perfectly cooked vegetables, all silver service by Donna a waitress who has been working at the pub 37 years, almost as long as the proper traditional hands on Landlord and landlady who have been there I believe over 40 years.
A memorable meal on all levels we can't wait to return for the incredible value food.

Visit couple times a year and never fail to impress! Great service and quality food. Sunday lunch spot on. Worth a visit for the bathrooms alone! ?

Had a Sunday roast at another pub recently, totally put me off roast dinners(all three courses rip off won't be going back anytime soon).so glad we remembered the old plough. What a lovely lunch,food delicious staff excellent & loads of veg (will definitely be going back again & again. Nice to see the owners again.(Darling)

This restaurant is a real hidden gem
We only live 10 miles away and didnt know it was there.

This is a lovely building with lots of character
We were very impressed with the standard menu and also the specials
The wine range is good but also fairly priced
We had the shredded duck and mango starter which was really easy and a big portion and also spring rolls
We then moved to mains with beef stroganoff and duck a la orange. Both these dishes were very tasty but also very good portion sizes. Plenty of potatoes and veg to accompany
We would have loved a dessert but had no room but note to selves for the future
We will definitely be returning and frequently also

Had Sunday lunch it was beautiful. Served by friendly, helpful staff. We were welcomed by the owners who were very attentive and kind. We are looking forward to returning for the best Sunday lunch. Absolutely delicious thank you.
