Trying to contact pharmacy about my service user medication but no receiving calls. Even after 5 minutes they busy the call. Can?t leave service user home alone as she is living with dementia.

I purchased my prescription antibiotics from Well pharmacy 17 Barnwell road, Cambridge and When i reached home, i found that the medicine box was already opened. My prescription was a 400mg antibiotic. I had received 12 of the tablets from the Flamingo pharma and the rest 2 from a different brand.
I had to wait two days to start my medications as i bought the medicines on a Saturday afternoon.
I am totally disappointed with Well pharmacy and will be changing my pharmacy with GP on my next visit.

They don't pick up the phone during their opening hours or when they do they hang up without saying a word.

Absolute rubbish of a pharmacy. Went for a flu jab, the lady over there asked me to wait for ten minutes only to tell me that there were no pharmacists available!

It is a very chaotic pharmacy. Frequent computer system crashes, repeat prescription meds that are physically there, but don't show up on their computers. Also, I am supposed to get a notification when my medication has arrived there, but that never works. Instead, it is a game of "well, the GP sent the prescription a few days ago, best I go and check whether the meds are at the pharmacy". Plus, I am not the only one, so the wait times can be excruciating because the people in front of you have to work through exactly the same chaos. Avoid avoid avoid!

Sadly I?m having to come back on and change my review to one star from 5 star/ Peter left and it?s now a completely trans phobic pharmacist! He refused to serve me with a gender GP prescription but kept changing his story as to why- first it was the company don?t accept them- then when I pointed out they did 12 weeks ago he said? it?s the pharmacist discretion? so I said ?so your choosing not to serve me? so he changed the story again - finally ended saying he can do a paper prescription but I don?t trust this when he?s BS me for 10 min!! Please don?t go here if your trans as they are very unhelpful- I?ll leave my previous review below because what I said about Peter still stands but sadly he has left ?What an amazing pharmacy all the staff were really helpful with my private prescription and fully trans supportive place! A ray of sunshine in these dark times. Highly recommend for a more personal service than the big pharmacy?s.

Pete is an excellent pharmacist, knowledgeable, competent and very diligent. He is very trans-inclusive and is a credit to his profession. He is empathetic, timely and orderly too!He helped me to feel empowered and confident with taking my HRT and other medications.I always felt very confident to approach him with questions and concerns. He is timely and efficient and is very calm, friendly and approach. Even if he is busy. He would always tried to make time for me if I needed his advice.I know I feel very safe to approach him and without his help I would have struggled.I understand he i leaving soon. He is a credit to the surrounding communities here and I know he will be missed a lot by the people who came to rely on him for the excellent service he provides.

Honestly a breath of fresh air to have a pharmacy who actually try and help. The people complaining clearly have never used Boots Newmarket Road. Great helpful considerate service.

Called up for out of hours service as my GP was closed and suggested, pharmacy, 111, or 999. Upon answering the phone a young man told me that he would pass me onto the relevant people to give me some advice on how to next proceed as i?m quite unwell? After having read the extensive reviews on here it seems that a fair few people were hung up on/ignored and after the call dropping off when he ?went to find me help? I have no doubt this is what happened to me. So I call back and reach another team member who tells me they can?t help with that and to call 111, which seemingly confirms my hunch. It does not annoy me that they can?t help what does is but who hangs up on a sick person asking for help especially when it was as simple as her letting me know they can?t rather than not bothering. What happens when someone who is more poorly or needs medication? They will be ignored and neglected and that?s not okay. Disappointed to be honest, especially as they are the only one available at this time in the area, that is literally the only reason, I?m not giving 1star. Because at least if i have to grab more supplies I can there (I hope)??
