Ive stopped here with a few friends when travelling back from Ipswich / Mildenhall Suffolk and every time we visit we cannot fault it.
The rooms could do with an upgrade but they?re comfortable.
I unfortunately injured my arm while in Mildenhall and the guy who was serving that evening really did go out of his way. He bought me an ice pack over which really made it comfortable for me and eased the pain off. He offered to help with bags to the room but we was ok with this and even offered to bring drinks to the table for me. He really was so kind and polite!
I wish I got his name to really praise him!
Parking is great, service is always great, rooms are clean, close to the A14 so its convenient to carry on the journey back home.
Could do with more pillows in the rooms.

Best travelodge we have stopped in. Stayed over night as on way to Norfolk on holiday from the west midlands with our dog. The hotel is right off the A14 on what seems to be a new housing estate. Front of the hotel looks over A14 the back is on the housing estate. I had precooked our room on the ground floor. Rooms 1-23 face the housing estate it was quiet nights sleep for us so can't comment on any noise at the front of the hotel facing the A14 rooms. Check in was fast and friendly. Vending machine in reception with drinks and chocolates. Bar and restaurant very nice and reasonable priced. Dogs allowed in bar and restaurant area as far as the TV wall. Ample seating no need to book for evening meal. We had cheese burgers very nice and piping hot. Standard travelodge room , clean, tidy, comfortable bed. Extra supplies for tea/ coffee from reception. Quiet night sleep. We paid for unlimited breakfast very nice choice of all breakfast goodies no fried eggs just scrambled. All aspects of hotel, rooms, food, staff excellent. Parking ample some under cover. We did notice when we took dog for walk last thing lighting low on car park but well lit in the under cover area. Food wise we did see come people staying there were recieving takeaways like just eat etc so that's an option for food also

Overall this is a great hotel to stay at if you?re visiting Cambridge but don?t want to pay the cost of staying in the centre.
The car park is massive and has plenty of empty spaces. It?s in a quiet little location and has a Tesco express a couple of mins walk away.
We decided to leave the car and take a 30 mins bus into the town to save on the expensive parking cost the Cambridge town. Really convenient with the bus and less than 10 mins walk to the bus stop into town.
The rooms were very clean, the carpets were the tidiest I?ve ever seen but was explained when I was the numerous robot hoovers!
There are a downsides for me. Firstly the shower was terrible. The worst water pressure I?ve ever experienced to the point where it was just not usable. And the shower curtain is not a nice set up and actually caused water to spill all over the bathroom floor.
There was also a homeless person sleeping in the carpark, although this didn?t bother me; it?s not what you want to see and made my wife very uncomfortable when going to our car. Plus it makes you wonder if that was the cause of numerous car alarms going off in the evening from that car park and how safe are your cars there??
There?s also no air con in the rooms - for the price this is fair enough. But the fans provided are absolute garbage. The first one just didn?t work and the second one had less wind speed than a little hand held fan.
There?s also no hair dryer, not something I experienced in any hotel before so that was quite frustrating and I had to spend over 30 minutes in front of the fan to try and dry my hair which wasn?t great given how crap the fan was.
The room was comfortable, there were 2 chairs which was handy for myself and wife and the bed was decent.

Bathroom door handle hanging off and smelt of urine, room carpet reminded me of a 30 year old nightclub one and the coffee sachets tasted like waterd down gravy!

When we finally got into our room after a slight mix up the room was spotless. Very warm but a fan was there which helped.
Breakfast was excellent and lots to choose from. Drinks pretty expensive in the bar, you have to pay for Wi Fi and parking but guess that keeps the price of the rooms down. But not sure if there was some kind of device that blocked my phone but had no reception at all whilst in the hotel.

Recently stayed here on business. It's a very basic Travelodge, can and should do better though.
Negatives - WiFi isn't free and even when you pay for it, it's slow or repeatedly kicks you off. Extremely basic room, missing standard key items such as a mini fridge, hairdryer etc. Showers are designed for people 6ft and under, couldn't swing a cat in the bathroom too, very small. Handwash dispenser was empty, thankfully I brought my own toiletries. Extractor fan filthy and didn't seem to switch off. Food very basic but did a job for one evening and breakfast. Very hot room, even with window open and fan on.
Positives - Surprisingly comfy beds, firm mattress and pillows. Staff very friendly and pleasant which was nice to see. Not as loud as expected, even with a room overlooking a carpark and busy street, which seems to be a student area nearby. Tesco round the corner, ideal for a few snacks.
Would potentially stay again if just for 1 night on business, but there is a Premier Inn just round the corner too which would probably be the better option. Average stay at best, but it's a Travelodge, don't expect the world for what you pay in this location, did it's job for the night.

Used hotel twice and although the location and price is good there are a few downfalls.
Hotel can be noisy at the front, first night was an eye opener 2 guests fighting in their room over a mobile phone during the night that sounded quite aggressive, no apparent action from hotel but not really surprised but keep in mind if you have kids! Second night was a little better but still get locals trying their best to keep you awake.
Room could do with some maintenance bathroom door handle cover missing and held by 2 loose screws.
Meals in the evening were actually really good and was impressed.
Breakfast was good on the first morning but the second there was no Hash browns or natural yoghurt.

room was tidy, but few considerable bits:
1. in this hot weather there is no undercounter fridge in rooms even to drink cold water.
2.no hair dryer in rooms
3. no iron and iron board in rooms.
4. no wardrobes inside the room.
5.early check in and late check out is being charged.
6. wifi is not free.
7. no cooling system only 1960s fans are available in the rooms
good that at least you shouldn't pay for the toilets and bathrooms?

Stayed for 2 nights & we were warmly greeted by friendly staff. Rooms are not spacious, but the bed was comfortable & the room was very clean and quiet. It is within 10 mins of a Park & Ride at Milton Road & only a 10 min transfer to the city centre, running every 15 mins (& free if you have a Senior Citizen bus Pass!) We ate in the Cafe Bar, which had a good choice & the meal deal was very good value. Would definately use again.

Not really a 3 star hotel, more a 2 star. Probably the only positives: it's clean, and the breakfast is reasonably priced and has fruit! WiFi is not free and a pain to connect. No laundry.
