Upset that we selected the correct night and when we turned up we found out that instead of telling us on the website that the night wasn?t available, instead it let us book and pay for the incorrect night. Ruined plans and staff at the front desk were rude and unaccommodating.

So we had to stay a week here due to repaired to our home. Everyone has been exceptionally friendly and helpful. I wish to give a special thank you to several wonderful staff. Paula the wonderful breakfast supervisor with early warm welcome every morning and extreamlyfriendly and helpful. Kacopina for being amazing server going above and beyond to help us. Nadia who maybe just learning the ropes but is extreamly polite and friendly. Malik for being very efficient and organised and very helpful and finally the wonderful Genna who cooked amazing food and made effort to check with us over food allergy and severed us our meal with friendly smile and chat making. Everyone made us feel welcome and it was extreamly appreciated while we where in limbo with repaired. A massive thank you to you all.

Checking staff including manager were really unwelcoming , zero level of hospitality, the room carpet was dirty ,sink tap was lose and felt like is was about to fall off. I was given a room with window that opens on a busy road with ongoing road noise throughout the whole night making it really difficult to sleep. Not good value for money.

Nice clean cheap hotel room

The room, especially the bathroom, was very dirty. One towel was dirty and smelly. There was disgusting limescale in the toilet. There was mold and mildew under the tiles. The bathtub was old dirt. The sink near the faucet was dirty from several years ago. The bathtub faucet was dirty and limescale. The bathroom smelled awful, and there was no ventilation. The window in the room was very dirty. There was no air conditioning, and the room was very hot. And the small fan was too small to cool the room. Room was very hot!!!Door card readers did not work or work poorly. The price was very high for such a low standard! I paid the same amount in London for a clean room with air conditioning and newer bathroom fixtures!

We have stayed here on numerous occasions but the latest, unfortunately our room.was motnup to standard. We noticed a stain on the sheet, the rooms needed dusting and the areas around the bathroom floor were not clean. However, the staff were very polite and helpful and the food ok.

The hotel is located about a 15 minute from the immediate ?shopping centre?, but a 25-30ish minute walk into the centre (by King?s College, etc). There is a bus stop outside but check the times as buses do not stop there regularly.
There is a subway underpass and it is safe walking into town. There is the Bird & Worm bar/small pub a 5 minute walk away, but the food in the hotel is good quality with good size portions.
We booked a twin room & were around room 115-119, but the toilet flush got stuck the first night and it was incredibly hot. We did face the busy road side and (with it being 28 degrees outside), it was slightly unbearable. When we explained this to the man in the morning, he sorted moving rooms immediately & gave us a free breakfast (everything was delicious but the fruit salad was still frozen so was inedible).
We were relocated to the 3rd floor (around room 335-345) & this helped a lot with the noise of the traffic & the room was working to a point. There was the light above the mirror out, the handle on the bathroom door was falling off, the key card didn?t initially work but this was fixed quickly by the man on the desk & the light by the bed didn?t work. Unfortunately the fan in the room was filthy, but I cleaned it myself & showed the front desk downstairs when we left. We didn?t complain again because the service & help after the first night was very good, but wanted to make them aware.
We were VERY impressed by the front desk man (sorry, we didn?t get his name), you can park under the Travelodge by paying using a QR code which was straight forward (don?t pay extra for a text message receipt because if you put your email in, you get a receipt that way), and remember to put your numberplate on the computer on the desk.
My friend and I agree it was an average stay with some highlights, but we did just use the hotel as a base and were out for most of the day. If we were to stay again, we would definitely choose a room on a higher floor.

lack of facilities, no air-conditioning, no refrigerator, room was dirty, television was very small and didn't have anything nice to watch, no space at all, mirrors and windows were dirty, no phone in the room to contact the reception, no hair dryer in the room, outside was noisy, the room was very hot, breakfast wasn't very bad but there's only very little food, towels were dirty and needed to reuse, no room service at all, very overpriced, overall not a good experience at all.
