I have been training with Jon for over 2 years now and I am very happy with the progress. The gym is super friendly and while the training is serious the people are easygoing. I got a lot of individual attention and coaching from Jon when I first started so I knew exactly what I had to do. Jon has been great at working with and around my injuries to make steady progress while prioritising long term health and longevity. Highly recommended, wherever you are in your strength development journey!

I was able to get my first ever strict muscle up after about four months of online training with Jon. This didn?t seem likely to me to begin with but Jon made the whole process feel very straightforward and doable, with just the right amount of challenge at every stage for me to stay motivated and on track. He is always positive and very responsive to any questions, concerns, feedback etc. I am thrilled I found this gym as I really don?t think I could achieve something like that (especially so quickly) at any other gym!

To create a sustainable recovery, my physiotherapist recommended Jon after I had some wrist and arm issues after my physio treatments for over. I expected a lot, and yet Jon exeeded every expectation that I had!!- Jon's KNOWLEDGE of the body and body movement has educated me about the functional issues important areas that need improvement in terms of both mobility and strength. His granular focus on the aspects of movement have really made a differece.- My ACHES and PAINS in the back and hip, which are the results of RSI and computer job have all significantly improved.- Jon's incredibly generous and friendly and caring attidude, makes me incredibly excited to the gym again.It is the best investment that I've made to have a better functioning body and I recommend him to all of my friends. Going to the classes at The Original Gym has really helped me to gain/improve my strength & I learnt how to handstand in a very short time, using a certain set of exercises. Jon is a brilliant instructor with a vast amount of knowledgeHighly recommend the gym!

I have trained at The Original Gym for nearly 3 years now. Jon has help me over come injury, become stronger and more mobile. All this at the same time as getting an in-depth understanding of how the body moves, diet and health. Jon provides tailored individual programs that allows everyone to progress. It?s a brilliant environment to train in and I consider myself lucky to be able to do so. Jon is a very modest guy but has worked with the likes of Ido Portal a world leading movement specialist.

Training with Jon in The Original gym was one of the best investments into my health. He not only helped me to get stronger physically and mentaly, he also pointed me in the good direction in terms of nutrition and general idea about what good health really is.What makes him unique is his profeessional knowledge about movement and health, his friendly approach and relaxed environment he creates in the gym. Even when training in classes, Jon gives you a plan to follow so your training is appropriate to needs and goals. All of this makes physical training effective, safe and more fun!I can say that the things I learned from Jon definitely changed my life forever and I can´t recommend him enough!

Jon is fantastic at what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable and always makes you feel comfortable whatever level you are training at. I was really concerned about going to a gym because I consider myself to be fairly ?weak? in comparison to others as my body is often stressed out and tired from being a workaholic and I also suffer from autoimmune type symptoms from time to time. Jon continues to help me with correcting my posture and I feel much stronger now than I have ever done simply by being more bodily aware and not focusing on what weights I am lifting, but ensuring my body moves in the right way. I highly recommend training with him. It?s a really great environment to train in and you will feel the health benefits!

I could not recommend Jon's gym enough to anyone who wants to either recover from an injury, or to take their fitness/strength to the next level. I worked with Jon to recover from a broken pelvis. He is extremely knowledgable, personable and motivating. Class sizes are small and you effectively get personalised service. Within 6 months, of hard work, I was pretty much back to normal...thanks a lot Jon!

I can't be recommend this place enough. Jon really knows his stuff, and he's an unbelievable breath of fresh air on the gym scene in Cambridge - he truly understands movement and strength etc, and really looks at what you are doing (a skill that is woefully lacking with most coaches)

Jon is extremely knowledgable. If you really want to achieve long term health, be strong and flexible at the same time, this is the place to go to. Jon is different than any other trainer out there. His knowledge is second to none. His programs are nothing short of revolutionary. No program is standard but all tailored to the individual. And to top it all off, he is a genuine nice guy.
