My father has eyes tested and new glasses couple months ago, he has been house bound due to MS, I went to collect them some weeks ago, sat waiting for an hour to be told they can't find them...
I was assured new pair would be sent to his house...
Weeks later they called he can collect them... he's in hospital with a broken leg now.
Shambles.

Always friendly and happy to take the time to help - had some concerns about eye health when getting new glasses fitted and was promptly given some more in-depth check overs with the slit lamp which was reassuring. Also do free re-adjustments of glasses and replacing of nose pads. Cheap and cheerful!

I phoned up and spoke to Emilie Moore who was so friendly and helpful and explained timescales to me. My 92 year old father is in hospital and they have lost his left hearing aid. We had to make 3 visits to get the hearing aid - once for a test, once for a mould and one to have it fitted. He is now bed bound and cannot hear. It is scary enough in hospital and it would have been impossible to get him back there once yet alone 3 times. Emilie was so understanding and reassured me they have a copy of his mould and can order a new one for him and supply a new hearing aid for us to either collect or they can send in the post. I cannot describe how much I appreciated her understanding and efficiency and really has saved the day. Thank you again Emilie.

I booked myself for an eye test as promised online ?for free?. As soon as I arrived a woman working there informed me it will be £25. Don?t fall for an idea of free eye test. It?s not free.

The opticians at this branch are perfectly nice and seem to do a good job.
The sales staff however, are appalling.
On two separate occasions they have left me close to tears. They run through all the price options like they're common knowledge. It's fast and it's confusing. Throw in a thick Indian accent and a really bad attitude and I'm leaving for a second time with nothing. She was yawning, finger-drumming and with a tone which fluctuated between extremely patronising and somebody audibly losing their patience.
I'm 49. I dread to think how somebody elderly would cope with this.
I am taking my prescription elsewhere.
