The staff in this store were lovely! My son was shopping for a school rucksack and each sales person he spoke to spoke directly to him rather than me, explained what they had in stock/had available for free delivery and didn't make him feel rushed into making a decision. My son said what an unusually nice shopping experience it was so I thought I'd feed it back :)

Manager with beard and glasses tried lying to me about being unable to return a pack of socks.
He claimed I needed the receipt although I knew that wasn't the case and it could be done using payment card and personal details. He persisted in telling me it wasn't possible but he didn't say it with enough confidence so I saw through his attempt to brush me off.
Got it returned and it only took 30 seconds, but he clearly wasn't happy about it. I assume it has something to do with targets they have to hit, or maybe he just couldn't be bothered. Not my problem.
I was really cool and polite about it, just wanted my socks returned. What the hell man.

Incredibly rude manager, firstly stated had to ?come off his lunch to deal with me? and then ended up making me pay an additional fees for exchanging a faulty item as I had discount on the original item brought which had since ended. Told me I should have checked t+cs etc and have done so and no where does it ever state that this is something imposed. Have since spoken to online team Jennifer and they have been amazing and have confirmed I should not have been charged in that additional fee as this was literally an exchange on a faulty product. Not an enjoyable experience for a company that do generally offer good prices and have never had a problem with before.

Went in to try a pair of shoes I?ve had my eye on for a while. Sales woman (believe her name was Evie) acted as if I was inconveniencing her and was too busy chatting to her friend. Decided not to buy and take my money elsewhere.

Brought a pair of green adidas trainers that I had been looking for for years. Super excited about my purchase and Chrissie the sales assistant was fantastic. Her manner and help were superb and she made the whole shopping experience and the shoes are awesome

Absolutely useless staff, at least the young lady who I asked for a certain size of shoes to try on just now, who refused to do that, saying I should first choose for sure between the three pairs I was trying on. She also kept taking those shoes away saying ppl might trip on them, but who am I supposed to try them on then?) Anyway, I was ready ro buy Steve madden shoes and just asked for a size, and she said she and the staff is busy and I should only tell her when I am absolutely sure, obviously did not want to go to the storage several times - but isn't that her job?I'll just order those online now ??

So this was the 4th time in 2 weeks I've been in this store as I've had my eye on a pair of certain trainers for ages & decided today I was going to treat myself!Now I'd like to add I've worked in retail for nearly 30 years & I know how difficult it can be especially with some customers so I like to be as friendly as possible just to make people's day a bit easier.Honestly I wish I'd never bothered as on the 3 previous occasions not a single member of staff acknowledged me & today was no different! The staff were basically just chatting away with each other & it's only when I went towards one of them with trainer in hand that they actually noticed a customer needed serving. I'd like to say it got better but it didn't, yes, they were asking me questions but they didn't look at me when I answered, they didn't smile & it was like they were reading from a script. It was a young girl & she basically had absolutely no interest whatsoever in actually interacting with me. I really couldn't wait to get out of there as I actually felt so uncomfortable & to be totally honest if I knew there was somewhere else that sold this particular trainer I would have gone there even if they were more expensive as this has to have been the worst customer service I've ever come across!!!Schuh you really need to teach your staff that a smile can really make a difference & it doesn't cost anything!! They're there to assist customers & not make them feel like an inconvenience!!

Absolutely appalling customer service today. I was mocked by the young school children working there, made to wait for their attention when they were gossiping, and given dirty looks for asking for a different size. They also overcharged me and made me feel like an inconvenience, asking me ?what the problem was? (in a rude tone) when I asked for a bigger size - clearly that the shoes are too small? Who I presume was a manager, almost encouraged this behaviour and carried on gossiping with the staff while I was trying to pay for my shoes. Went to Office, and received a welcome and attentive service in comparison.

Once upon a time there was a short, blonde count,the count of Schuh acting as a manager. The count had an agenda to be very rude to all the customers from allover the land. The service is atrocious, staff are rude and no knowledge of products. I hope the head counts in their towers do something about it, I can see other reviews in regards to the count of Schuh with the same level of service.

I am very disappointed with the customer service at the Cambridge store. I bought a pair of converse for £90 on Saturday afternon (6th May) when I went home, I tried them on again for 10 minutes and noticed that they were faulty as the inner seam of one of the shoes was poorly stitched (as you can see in the first two pictures, the third picture is the good shoe) hence brushing against my feet when walking. I went to the shop on Sunday morning (less than 24 hours after purchasing the item) and they said that the shoes were wore and they were unable to resell them... well for only 10 minutes at home it's imposible to make any mark at all and furthermore ARE YOU RESELLING FAULTY SHOES AGAIN?. I was shocked! The management were beyond unhelpful and very rude to me, I had to go twice to the shop as I was ignored by the first manager (Louise) and finally the second manager at least spoke to me and told me to call customer service, send the shoes by mail and wait for 2 weeks for someone to contact me... at the moment I only have a ticket and no shoes at all... and after this horrible experience I don't even have hopes to recover neither my shoes nor my money. Please note that I never asked for a refund, all I asked for was to get the faulty shoe replaced as per the Citizen Advice Bureau, the shops are not allowed to sell FAULTY ITEMS. I don't recomend going to this shop anymore and if you do, make sure that the item is perfect state or you will lose your money and time! Furthermore, behind the sales ticket, it says that if the item is used but it's faulty, the shop should offer a refund or exchange, which is a totally LIE!
