Came here today by request of my disabled cousin who has an account with Santander. She asked me to change her £20 note into £1 and 50p coins. However the lady teller in Santander St Andrew St. Cambridge branch named Ella refused and said it?s the requirement of the bank for the account holder to be present. I said my cousin is wheelchair bound and it?s difficult for her to come. Ella said sorry we can?t do it.I went to Barclays bank which is across the road. They changed the £20 note into coins without asking any requirements. Nobody from our family even banks with them.I think it?s time to switch.

Very kind and patient staff at the Cambridge branch. There were several elderly and confused people in the bank whilst I was there and all the staff were very respectful and took as much time with them as was needed. I found my own transaction was smooth and efficient and the teller friendly, nice to bank face to face and not just a machine or online.

The opening times of this bank are ridiculous I'm thinking of joining another bank, if you spent less money on ant and dec and more money on on staff than this bank would be better

I couldn?t disagree more with Rosanna Weir?s so-called ?review?. I wonder who had rattled HER cage before she went to the branch? She is the sort of person who is determined to find fault with something, like a person who watches a television programme in order to complain about it!! By contrast, I always find the staff courteous and helpful and have been coming here for nearly twenty years. Having over 25 years experience of working in a retail environment I reckon my opinion is of some value in this instance. So ignore what Rosanna Weir says: it?s not typical of what most people think.

So, so rude! Not only were they condescending and patronising the entire visit but I was given completely false information. Unsure if it was because it was the end of the day and they couldn't be bothered to work or if they've just been trained badly but was not at all impressed. Do not trust this bank.
