“I booked for my parents to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary. I chose the Gonville because the staff are well-trained and I knew they would receive excellent service. They had an absolutely wonderful stay and I would like to thank the whole team for making their stay so special.”

“I booked a stay at the varsity hotel to celebrate my birthday. The varsity is a fabulous hotel situated right in the heart of Cambridge tucked away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be at any of the Cambridge university landmarks in less than 30 minutes. The staff at check where a delight, welcoming us warmly, giving us a brief overview of the facilities and then escorting us and our luggage up to the room. Our room was spacious and luxurious, the bathroom had a Victorian free standing bath, a shower. Full sized vanity and separate sink; which was a nice touch to a couples weekend. The varsity offer a fabulous selection of services, from breakfast in bed to their WhatsApp e-butler service; a 24 hour on call butler. Overall I couldn’t recommend the varsity hotel more for the perfect get away weekend. The Glassworks spa and gym located 5 minutes walk from the reception offer a gymnasium, spa with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Further offering Elemis spa treatments and Aveda hair salon. My partner and I enjoyed a couples full body Swedish massage which was the perfect way to finish off a great day spent out and about exploring all that Cambridge has to offer. The hotel offered bikes and organised punting for guests. Taxi services organised by the hotel were also hassle free and the rooftop bar and restaurant are truly worth every penny. The staff, where attentive and knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The food and drinks are outstanding and the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast service and both were something to be remembered.Nearby activities: The river cam is less then a 2 minute walk and a Punting tour of the college packs is the perfect historical and cultural experience.Noteworthy details: Due to the high volume of students in Cambridge the hotel does have some nighttime noise. Hence I would request a room not facing the street. However the noise wasn’t something that kept us awake.”

“If you're seeking a haven where focus meets comfort, The Graduate Cambridge is your scholarly sanctuary. I booked in for a two night stay to catch up on my studies and was pleasantly impressed. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's lounge, equipped with cozy seating, quiet corners and a rustic fireplace providing an inviting ambiance it provided the perfect space to delve into research or catch up on reading.Of course, no studious stay would be complete without nourishment for the mind and body. The hotel's on-site restaurant offered an amazing full buffet breakfast a perfect set up for fuelling long study sessions. And for a quick break the hotel's fitness center and sauna provided a refreshing way to recharge both mentally and physically. But perhaps the most impressive aspect of The Graduate Cambridge was its attentive staff. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was as productive and comfortable as possible. Water to the room, no issue to quench those study thirsts. If you're searching for a hotel with a serene atmosphere and attentive service The Graduate Cambridge is the perfect destination for those seeking a studious stay.Prepare to immerse yourself in a world where learning meets luxury – you won't be disappointed.Rooms: I booked the junior suite, good size but sadly no bath just a shower. Two chairs on the balcony, a lovely seating area and amazing views of the river.”

“Ive stopped here with a few friends when travelling back from Ipswich / Mildenhall Suffolk and every time we visit we cannot fault it.
The rooms could do with an upgrade but they’re comfortable.
I unfortunately injured my arm while in Mildenhall and the guy who was serving that evening really did go out of his way. He bought me an ice pack over which really made it comfortable for me and eased the pain off. He offered to help with bags to the room but we was ok with this and even offered to bring drinks to the table for me. He really was so kind and polite!
I wish I got his name to really praise him!

Parking is great, service is always great, rooms are clean, close to the A14 so its convenient to carry on the journey back home.
Could do with more pillows in the rooms.”

“If you are parked in front of the front of thisTravelodge for more than 10 minutes you will receive a £100 PARKING CHARGE NOTICE from CarFlow.

If you have a long wait before being checked in and being told where you can safely pay to park while staying at Travelodge you will come home to a £100 fine.

If you travel by car, move your car to the leisure multi-storey BEFORE checking in.

Why don’t Travelodge tell you that?!”

“Equidistant between Norwich and London, the Linton Travel Tavern is the ideal place to stay if you are waiting for your divorce to come through. I spent 183 days here! The full English breakfast is the best but I cheated and used a 12" plate! They never noticed! The receptionist called Sophie is really sweet but has a habit of cracking up at any moment. Michael the handyman/barman is an ex-soldier and will tell you about his experiences in the army. He also will help you out in an emergency, he even tried to remove graffiti from my Rover 800! What a star! The bar is well-stocked and it was there I invented my signature cocktail the Ladyboy (gin and tonic, pint of bitter, Bailey's chaser) before filming began on a commercial for Hamilton's water breaks. The producer and director were seriously impressed, I could tell!My room was very comfortable and had everything including pay TV, tea and coffee-making facilties and a Corby trouser press. Unfortunately one day I was so bored I dismantled it and had to get help from Michael to put it back together again.I liked it so much, when I had to leave I even held a party in my room for the staff.”
