Stayed for two nights. Staff were very helpful and polite. Hotel itself was pleasant to stay in, with comfortable rooms and facilities. The location was perfect.

First the good parts. The pianist in the bar was exceptional. Having my room cleaned every day was awesome. The bath towels are amazing.Then a number of annoyances,1. They ran out of parking spaces. When I'd traveled internationally and mastered driving on the left and driving through countless roundabouts this was a major inconvenience.2. There no fridge in room. For reasons I won't go into this caused a medical problem for me.3. The bar was frustrating. Excruciatingly slow service at the weekend and many menu items not available.4 They had a TV in the room but it had the lowest resolution TV picture since the Queen's coronation.

The room was not so clean and needs renewing. Some paint went off on the wall. Old furniture. Amazing location and friendly staff. But it is not Hilton level.

I travel at least 150 days a year and can say this is a great hotel. The staff are helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean. One of the best breakfast buffets in Europe. Location is second to none. The Executive Lounge is one of the best in Europe and they are very dog friendly. In summary, a great place to stay while in Cambridge.

Nice clean room but room sizes and outlook very variable.Great selection at the breakfast buffet but the hot items could be hotter.Dinner service at rather a relaxed pace!

Always an ambition to stay at the Hilton, but as a min wage Support Worker this was not likely to happen.It was nice to go and visit and have drinks here.Beautiful hotel in a superb location to explore the city.

Good Central location. Expensive but quality rooms and breakfast. Sadly no Guinness on tap (I refused to option of a can put through a machine). Breakfast could be improved by having filter coffee and tea in pots rather than having to queue at the machines.Thanks for the reply, I received: there was beside the drinks machines 2 hot plates on which pots of filter coffee could be placed but on the 3 breakfasts I enjoyed in the hotel, there was never any filter coffee keeping warm on them, which is why i made comment in the first review above.

Stayed here a few times and have to say this one was a disappointment. First room was awful on 4th floor with the window blocked by the gable end of some wooden structure. Moved to a better room which in fairness looked tired and an uncomfortable bed to suit! Restaurant was closed (Sunday night), but all that said still a very convenient hotel in a great spot for visiting our daughter at Uni. Staff and breakfasts all good too. Will continue to stay, but maybe upgrade a bit next time.

Location is great. Service is below what I would expect from any hotel in this category. Just a few highlights:1) I was out the entire day, yet my room was not cleaned2) checkout took >15 minutes (there was no queue), no apology3) the elevator to the ground floor was broken, and while I had luggage, there was no asking on whether they should help carry it downI truly didn?t feel welcomed.

I spent two nights at this hotel with my partner a few weeks ago. The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of Cambridge, and you can walk to pretty much all the sights from there.Our room was spacious and comfortable. Decor was understated, but I didn?t mind that. There were lots of drawers to store things, which was handy. Our room was on the fourth floor and facing west, which meant that it was particularly quiet, even if the view wasn?t very interesting. Please note that the rooms don?t seem to have fridges.The bathroom was clean, but it was definitely on the small side.We received good service - we were offered prosecco when we checked in (early, at no extra fee), and reception printed a document for me without any fuss. The hotel?s luggage holding service is also very handy after check out.All in all, I would recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness, and service. I would just say that the hotel looks slightly dated inside, especially for a 4-star hotel and at this price point.

The hotel is on Downing Street, close to the centre of town and easy walking distance from the Colleges, shops and restaurants. For location it?s hard to beat. There is an NCP immediately next door for parking. The main hotel foyer (up an escalator, which is a bit weird) looks modern and the self serve restaurant for breakfast was fine. There weren?t many reception staff in evidence, but the one who checked me in was friendly enough. My room was comfortable and a decent size with shower room, TV and free wifi. I had room service which was quick and the food was good. Overall the stay was fine - just what I needed in fact. All I would say is that the place needs some updating. The building doesn?t help, but the interior is old (or old fashioned), and eg the shower is a cheap over the bath affair.

Booked to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, thought we would push the boat out a bit. From the valet parking to check in, the restaurant and bar every member of staff made us feel special. To some travellers staying in a Hilton they may be used to it but to us it was a wonderful experience. The evening meals were absolutely delicious and the cocktails were equally moreish. The breakfast was a brilliant start to the day and everything laid out so well and beautifully presented. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would love to stay again sometime.

Lift was broken when we checked in, a family member is unable to go up/down stairs. The management was very helpful and tried reversing the escalator but that didn't work - eventually we were able to go out through the goods lift. Room was clean and bed was hard but comfortable. Breakfast was great, location was convenient.
