Christopher, was incredibly helpful with assisting in withdrawing my savings contributed by family. Gave amazing advice and great insight into banking careers. All round a lovely chap with the best customer service ive ever received from a bank!

The cashier at the tills was extremely rude and unwelcoming. She had no customer service skills and she tried to send me to a cash machine when i wanted to do it in person, she has absolutely no clue about counting money and I had to remind her MULTIPLE times of the denominations of £40 in 2 £10s 2 £5s and 10 1 pound coins. Very poor customer service, will not be coming back.

It's a nightmare to manage anything with the Halifax now days. I probably change because of it.

Just called online banking with Halifax. Was on the phone for 30 minutes plus, to have achieved Nothing!!! The automated system at the beginning couldn?t understand half of what I was saying (I speak clear English) I was put through to the wrong department who then put me through to the correct one. I was told I?m being put to another department, then went through to the automated system who asked my details and then got them wrong. Then somebody answered who put me through to the wrong department. He was shouting and I couldn?t understand what he said. I apologised for not understanding him!! which he obviously didn?t like as he was very rude. He tried to put me through to correct department, AGAIN, for the 5th time so far, and I was told I had to wait because of the sheer number of calls!!! (I don?t mind waiting but how many times are they going to put me through!!!!) What an Absolute Ridiculous Waist of Time this service is. I will be changing bank accounts ASAP!!!

If you are going to shut branches try enhancing the phone service or the app. Spending 20 minutes on the phone only to be told to go to a branch which have all shut (don?t 15 miles and pay for parking to the nearest branch) is not a client centric experience.

Marcella behind the desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming made me feel as if i weren?t a customer as all i wanted to do is deposit some money for some reason i could not do such a simple task as she was busy!!!!

Tried to arrange appointment to open an account so went to cambridge branch today.
Lady there told me there are no appointments or walk ins. Directed me to the website and tried to explain the process but didnt have correct information... had to ask someone else.
Only realised at home that there are technical issues and cant use website or the app...
what is the point in this branch even being there???

I went into the Cambridge branch to make an appointment having tried by phone and through the online banking app . Both wanted a lot of information and sent me in ever decreasing circles. On arrival I was told that they are not doing appointments, which is why I couldn?t make one, so I asked just to speak to someone . Oh no that was not possible, how cheeky of me to expect to be able to talk to someone at that branch. Apparently I would have to travel to Bury St Edmunds or Bedford to do so. The Girl behind the desk could not have been more unfriendly and defiantly let me know I was being a nuisance encroaching on her time

So, went to the bank last week to add someone to a savings account, after having spoken to their online advice that we needed to go to a physical branch. We got there and were then told that they would set us an appointment to come in a week later, mind you the phone person could have advised us this and we could have called to set up an appointment. So we travel again, 15 miles across the peninsula for our appointment, and were a few minutes late. We were told that they could not see us even though we begged them to let us wait to be seen. They had such an attitude of judgement and greater than thou, that it was disgusting. I will never go to this branch again. Mind you all of this relates to Halifax closing most of their offices.

Took more than half hour to make a withdrawal from the cashiers desk, only one staff on till (who was training) and more than 10 staff walking around trying to look the part but not do the job, the bank manager was rude to me so I was rude back. Can see by the reviews I?m not the problem :)

Words cannot describe how cross I am with the Halifax.I made a complaint on 9th September about a mistake with procedures and conduct . They said it would take up to 8 weeke to get a response . I'm 10 weeks down the line no response . I've spent over 5 hrs of phone calls .Allegedly someone void my complaint same day I made it .At the time of making my complaint I was off to Thailand and had no way of getting money without the card which I'd ordered through the bank and they forgot to process . I then couldn't be en get cash out as their till draws were locked ... Resulted in not being able to have any money at all and not even able to get home .I am disabled and this has all been very stressful . Still no further despite a call today for well over an hour .?
