Awesome service. I was there (Cambridge) to pick up car coolant. Ryan helped me pick the right one. More than anything it was refreshing to see someone who cared for the the customer. It is hard to come by these days, generally customers/customer service are treated like an unwilling obligation.

Staff could not be any less interested in serving. Visited twice at the weekend and had the same reception both times. Waited at least 10 minutes each time too. Awful.

Non-compatible battery
I had an MOT on my Audi Q5 in February 2025. During the check-up, I was advised to change the battery and was told that the Halford battery would meet Audi's specifications. After a few months, the car began to develop problems related to the alternator, as the battery was not compatible with Audi genuine parts. Halfords does not have access to or knowledge of the Audi's specifications and misguides clients by offering generic batteries, which might damage the car.
On top of this, they refuse to acknowledge their fault and offer a refund

I was in a queue at the cashier in Halfords Cambridge. In front was a little old foreign lady needing to exchange something. The cashier, Lillierose, was so kind, patient and helpful to the customer, finding what she needed, explaining how to use it and explaining the exchange. It made me wish all shop staff were as pleasant and it lifted my spirits to see the kindness and efficiency of Lillierose who had also quietly mouthed her thanks for the patience of the waiting customers.
