The showers have been fixed and they have changed some members of the management team. Things are definitely better.I’d also like to highlight that the trainers are fantastic (Clifford’s boxing class is excellent) and that Rachel at reception is lovely.We recently visited the spa for massages and lunch - we had a really positive experience here, too.Original review:I’ve been really reluctant to write this review and I have given the management every opportunity to respond, but since they have not got back to me and are never available to talk to, I have been left with no choice.We joined as members 6 weeks ago and the facilities are great. The gym is always clean and the pool is lovely. Both the reception staff and the gym staff are polite and helpful. That’s where the two stars come from. However, there are unfortunately two major issues that are really letting the club down.1. The showers. The showers are frequently cold, or lukewarm at best. I mostly attend the club in the evenings or at weekends and it seems like they run out of hot water during busy periods or towards the end of the day. I have frequently had to go out to reception in my towel to explain that the shower is cold again, only for them to apologise and say someone is going to fix it. They have now been saying this for 6 weeks.2. The lack of customer service from the management is a major concern. It is impossible to get a response from a manager, either in-person or online. After two weeks of cold showers I sent a message asking for an update on the shower repairs and I did not get a response. The initial message was on social media so I could see that it had been read. I followed this up in-person and was told they were really busy and that I should email to raise the issue of the cold showers. I did so and after 10 days I still did not get a response. I asked to see a manager multiple times in-person but they don’t work evenings or weekends, which is when I’m usually there.I went to the club during ‘office hours’ on Monday and asked to speak to a manager, only to be told there weren’t any available. I asked again on my way out at 3:30pm and they said the manager had left the site for the day. The reception team forwarded my email to a manager on Monday and it has now been 3 days; I am still awaiting their response. I went this evening to speak to reception again after another cold shower and the lady at reception said the managers have been really busy and that they should get back to me tomorrow. I very much doubt this will happen. She was polite and lovey; I honestly feel bad the staff have to deal with this as I’ve been there when many others have complained, too. I have now been waiting for a month for a reply to my first message and they have still not resolved the issue. It’s one thing to have a long-term issue with the facilities at such an expensive place, but it’s another thing entirely to ignore customer complaints.”
