We stopped off here after the services were queueing. We really only wanted a sandwich but landed up having the 2 course set lunch menu. It was very good food and great value. The young waitress who served us was very bubbly and friendly. Glad we stopped off here, better than a McDonald's!

We went for the fish night and enjoyed it so much we then booked for the Sunday roast.
I think a lot of people do this as it was pretty full.
We are from New Zealand and were staying in the village for a couple of weeks and enjoyed the whole village experience which involved this pub.

Low key place, decent food. Music plays low as ambiance drowning conversations. It's not a big place but you can seat at bar and order food. The bartender was very knowledgeable of menu and "today's specials". He's very clear when communicating and asks questions back. He was very efficient serving drinks with a friendly demeanor. It's located near a busy stores strip with stores like Anthropologie, free people, loft vintage, and the sort. Food is good just not enough of it. Husband stayed hungry. Would I recommend? Yes, for drinks and appetizers.

Stopped in for a bite to eat after an all day bike ride, and everything about the experience I'm rating excellent! We ordered the fish and chips and a Firestone Walker Heifenweizen. Food was excellent as was our choice beverage. The service was friendly, fast, and met with exceptional customer service. This was a recommendation of the Tangletown Bike Shop, and they were 110% correct!

We went for the traditional English breakfast we saw online and it has been gone for years . We waiting an hour and half across the street. Food and service was great! Updating info not great

Absolutely our go to place for lunch, warm and friendly atmosphere, good beers and excellent food. Fish is a speciality, but everything is good (so it can be hard to choose!). As an aside, we love the seafood themed place mats.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Place was packed and I can see why. After a short wait we had a couple of beers and great food. I had the daily curry which was delicious. If I travel back to the area, I'll definitely be visiting again.

My wife and myself went to the George and Dragon yesterday evening. It was wonderful! The attention from the staff was first rate, and the food was heavenly!
We both has a fish main course, and we could not praise it more highly.
A lovely place in a lovely village. Very highly recommended!

For the incredible amount of money they charge you would expect "fine-dining" quality food. I was given WET soggy "fish and chips" and was so incredibly disappointed... you sell yourself as this authentic fish and chips place, but there's zero warmth or ambiance, nobody welcomes you when you go inside. I wonder how much they had to pay to get on DDD..
