Cosy place to stay. Within easy reach from the train station and the city centre. The staff are really warm.

Another exmple of the quality of small hostels/hotels in the UK.Old and decrepid, repainted and repainted, nothing works very well, shower, tv etc.etc.Over priced compared to the rest of Europe today. My 1 week stay was paid by a third party. Its worthy of 20-30 max pounds per/night.

Nothing special, but its at convenient location just 2-3min from Cambridge train station. The rooms have not very good sound proofing (at leat in old rooms, and it seems that they are refurbishing it bits by bit, so maybe that will be improved). I would say for that price its ok to stay for 1-2days, but if to stay longer then I would try to find somthing better (if your pocket allows).

Comfy bed, radiator could be turned up or off which was good. Easy access to room and parking. Cheap n cheerful stay. Close to the winter wonderland ? near to the station 5 min walk where you can get a coffee at pret a mange, other shops n cafes too.

I booked this hotel with the understanding that it would be a 2-star - I was not expecting much, just a clean place to sleep for a single night. This is exactly what the hotel turned out be to. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy, and the check-in / out process was painless. The hotel is basic, but this is made clear on all booking websites, so if you were expecting more than what is advertised, that's on you. Great place for a 1-2 night stay, probably not any longer than that.

I?m a student so I needed cheap! Fenners was the cheapest option available and it was just what I needed No problems whatsoever Clean 10 minutes from town Easy code for check-in and out Would recommend for someone looking for inexpensive

We never leave negative reviews and always try to see the positive and take reviews we read with a pinch of salt as some people do love to complain but this hotel was seriously awful. More like a bed sit/hostel? We had 3 rooms booked. One (room 19) looked nothing like the photos, smelt like hospitals and was more like a hostel room with a tiny bathroom and a toilet anyone over 10 stone wouldn?t fit on, the second room (room 12) smelt like damp and cigarettes, my coat still stinks now, the shower we had no hot water and very minimal pressure for the stay and they photos were definitely taken a long time ago as it looked really nice in the photos but not so nice in person, and the single compact room (15) we liked to call the hobbit room. It was sooo small. An adult man couldn?t pee standing up as the ceiling was too low, you could barely move in the room as there was no space and you hit your head everywhere you went. Overall disappointed with the stay and we would not come back! Only good ish thing was the beds weren?t terribly uncomfortable and it was close to the station.. but we did seriously consider changing hotels after the first night

Beautiful room, only 15min by walk from City Centre. Easy check in, very clean room and toilet. It's a shame, that luggage storage isn't free of cost.

Guys, pictures and info are deceiving so be prepared to walk into a small dark room although the decor is somewhat nice. A bit old and cleanliness; give it a C grade for the overall room, B for not particularly clean towels and A for a clean bed. 1. Booking com claims they have laundry at extra cost, thankfully I checked with them ahead of arrival and they said no.... fine. 2. Arrived for a one night stay, check-in 3 pm and check out 10 am..... that is very short, made me more tired. Luggage can be left but very near the front entrance and no security code, so I didnt feel safe leaving things in there. Claims to have ongoing heated shower and radiators: 3. Managed to shower in the evening but hot water lasted for 5 minutes and ran out!!! Thought it would reheat again, but the water remained cold until check out the next morning. I almost feel that this is deliberate to save on bill costs! 4. The heater didn't turn on, so the room was cold and I have to wear my jacket to sleep under the duvet. 5. There was no staff available. I emailed them the next morning but the said I should have alerted an emergency number they gave. I probably should have but this is an ongoing complaint if you guys read the rest of the reviews here. 6. Nice to have a keyless entry and no need to go to reception desk. But then a little apprehensive as ANYBODY could be staying here if there was no proper ID check if we're thinking of security. I will never come back here.... not worth it. It needs to improve.

The hotel is clean enough albeit very old and slightly in disrepair. The room was clean, sheets were okay, and it had what you would expect from this sort of establishment (towels, kettle, etc.)There is no formal reception and no parking. No bike area either (we cycled) but the staff were helpful and found another room to keep them in.If I'd have to, I'd stay again, as nothing was really that bad, but wouldn't recommend if you have other options.

Long story short: avoid!Man, this is a bad hotel. I'm not even sure we can use the word hotel to describe it, since it's more of a old house they rent for the night.Positives: safe, warm and close to the station.Negatives: weird vibes from staff, absolutely no toiletries, thin walls, no decent place to store your luggage, cramped bathroom.Cambridge is a expensive place and there were no vancancies elsewhere, but I advise to book Ibis near the station weeks before you visit, then you'll be good to go!
