I Bought a Tissot Seastar 1000 Watch from Ernest Jones for £520. The watch's chronograph start and stop buttons became stuck after literally 3 days of use. I took it to Ernest Jones to have it repaired as I had purchased insurance for the watch.
The watch went away to the manufacturer's to get repaired and I had no contact from the store for over 5 weeks during this period. I finally got a message from Ernest Jones that the watch was ready to collect, 6 weeks from when I had given it to them to repair.
Upon entering the store, the staff serving me brought out the watch and upon inspection the buttons were still stuck and hadn't been repaired. I brought this to the attention of the staff and I was informed by them that the watch had only been partially serviced and the buttons hadn't been repaired due to some miscommunication between Ernest Jones and the manufacturer.
I was then told by the staff serving me that the watch will need to go back again to the manufacturer and that they couldn't guarantee me a time frame for the repair. I had bought the watch for an event, and the staff told me that I can wear the broken watch at the event and then can come and hand it back in to be sent again for repair.
At no point during this farce, did any of the staff or management apologise for this inconvenience or offer another resolution to solve this problem. They kept saying that the watch would need going away for repair again. This leaves me at a minimum of 3 months without a new watch that I have purchased for over £500 and worn just a handful of times.
The 1 star review is very generous and if there was an option to rate lower, I would have. Needless to say that I will be considering another jeweller/horologist in future if I am looking to buy another watch.

I?ve had a few problems with Ernest Jones when it came to the manufacturer, but I can?t praise the Cambridge store team enough. Grace and James have been absolutely amazing from the very start ? so helpful, kind, and patient throughout the whole process. They really made a stressful situation so much easier, and I?m so grateful for everything they've done.

Bought a watch here today. Dealt with a staff member called henry. He was very professional and polite and really knew his stuff. Would definitely come back and buy something again. Shop was busy but I didn't feel rushed. 10/10

After having my Tag Feuer Watch, was taken at force, in broad daylight robbery. The Cambridge store came to my rescue, as the Peterbrough store had closed sometime ago.
The girl's helped me choose a new piece and with advice and how to claim on the insurance I had purchased when buying the Tag from New in Peterborough. The girl's sauced the replacement watch from another store and had it delivered to Cambridge store.
After 1 or 2 hiccups between my misunderstanding and the Insurance information and a couple of trips to Cambridge everything was sorted out.
So today 24th March i collected my New Longines watch ?? from Charlie and team. Charlie sorted out all the last pieces to finish and finalise all the paperwork. Charlie then fitted my watch and showed me all there was to know about my watch ??.
I can't thank Charlie and the girls enough for all there hard work, help and perseverance with dealing with this situation and also with the insurance and police.
Many thanks to you all at the Cambridge Shop. Ernest Jones you have a fantastic bunch of ladies at Cambridge.
Btw I find reading some of the negative reviews hard to believe and I'd advise people to ignore them.

I recently visited the Ernest Jones store with a friend, intending to purchase a watch. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by shockingly unprofessional and rude behaviour from the sales staff, making us feel completely disrespectful and unwelcome.
When we entered, the staff initially ignored us. After approaching one of them, she assisted us in viewing two watches. As requested, I even stepped outside to point at the watches I wanted to see. However, When I asked to try a third one, she struggled to locate it. To help, I moved slightly closer to the display window and pointed at the watch another staff member?who had not been involved earlier?suddenly shouted at me in an aggressive and unnecessary manner. She insisted that I must step outside to point at the watch rather than looking at it from inside the store.
My friend and I are Indian, and while I do not want to assume, it was hard to ignore the fact that their attitude towards us was noticeably different. There was a professional and respectful way to communicate store policies, but instead, the staff chose to be rude, dismissive, and outright disrespectful.We pointed out that the way she spoke to us was completely inappropriate. However, instead of escalating the situation, we chose to leave the store without arguing further.
No customer should ever be made to feel uncomfortable, let alone unwelcome, based on how they look. This experience left a very negative impression, and I sincerely hope Ernest Jones ensures better customer service and training for their staff.

Really good experience in store purchasing a Frederique Constant watch. Especially Lillian, who's friendly personality and helpful information together with a very competitive product and insurance price sealed the deal. Highly recommend the store and their staff.

James in the Cambridge Ernest jones branch was so helpful for me and my partner today, we had an issue with my partners watch, he was able to fix our issue gracefully and efficiently. Incredible experience, Yma is amazing. My edwardian ring was sent off on the 14th September, it needed lots of work and resizing, i was very anxious due to its age. It came back earlier than expected (29th September) and it is is perfect, beautiful, all fixed, and resized. Yma was friendly, passionate about jewellery and generally made the experience a really calm one
