I just wanted to write this review to say a big thank you to Stanley, who was very professional and friendly! I sort of became a fan of this shop since my first purchase back 2 years ago, lovely useful shop please keep up like this!

Rubbish checkout/till. You can not purchase items without being asked for personal details like email and postcode. Decathlon have no business attempting to acquire such info unless Elon Musk is the new owner. Then they try to squeeze more money out of you claiming it's a donation to charity. Decathlon should stick to providing good merchandise at reasonable prices. I shall however be making my purchases elsewhere from now on.

Decathlon Cambridge - Disappointing Bike and Services - Do not buy your bike from there!
I spent 750 pounds via cyclescheme to purchase on of the finest road bikes at decathlon cambridge, and after 3 days the bike is simply failed and malfunctioned. The bike as communicated has one of the best shifting gears in the industry ?microshift?, I was simply pedaling and shifting over the road and I heard weird noise and then the belt chain just went out and this was close to lead to an accident and risk my safety and my life. I tried calling customer service but no hope on any compensation or ownership to investigate or fix. I am requested now to take another day off from my work to visit the workshop, and either walk with the bike for 1 and half hour!! Or either to hire a van with 100 pound to transport the bike to the workshop! And above all to pay commuting expenses on a daily basis! That?s really disappointing!!

Poorly stocked shop. Bad customer service. Additionally cashless, so exclusionary to members of the public without bank cards.

We have a very pleasant shopping experience in Decathlon, their staff Mike helps introducing the folding bike, he?s very patient and details. Even he?s helping us to wrap a box as per our request! He?s nice and helpful

This used to be my goto place for bike repairs: quick, well priced, reliable, and no hassle help if something is not quite right. Well, not anymore. Just paid around 160 quid for a ?full service?, including new cables which went loose in a couple of weeks. When I turned in to ask if that can be fixed, I got told that is because my ?break pads are worn out, thus the cable is loose?. How an extra 4 inches of loose cable can be caused by break pads is beyond my comprehension. And no more walk in repairs, you have to book a few days in advance.
My verdict: go around the corner for a fraction of a price and much faster service.

Extremely Unhappy!!!
Generally I am happy and pleased with the staff at the Grafton center Cambridge But ordered shoes online as adviced because the size (very common size) was not present in the shop. Delivered in the shop tested in the shop, the size was wrong requested to return within 1 minute and I was deducted/charged over 7£ for return. It?s a steal and I should have been at least informed. Come on decathlon you can do it better instead of charging people for just testing your product before purchasing. SHAME!

Update: What a careless response, why am I not surprised...
The only reason I'm giving this a 2* and not a 1* is because I'm happy with the product I was finally able to buy. However the rest has just been totally awful from the get go.
Firstly, Decathlon cannot call 'all of its stores dog friendly' if it is constantly based in areas that are not! 2 stores visited, both no dogs allowed. The shopping centre this store is based in, is not dog friendly, the same as its store in Stevenage I had just been to!
Secondly, they do not take cash. I had just travelled all the way into Cambridge for one specific item after their Stevenage store had nothing and was a complete mess. Think about the travel distance I have covered?! How can their not be just ONE till to handle cash?! Absolutely ridiculous! I then asked an employee whether I could do the click and collect option for the item online and then collect straight away (they take PayPal online). To then be told A) It could be up to 5 days for instore collection (I am stood in their store with the item in my hand) or B) Pay EXTRA for a 1hour instore collection. And yes, she explained I would have to wait 1 hour! I had to borrow a bank card to pay in the end. But what an absolute joke through and through. If I didn't have a race that next day, I would of tossed the item and been done with it. I won't ever use Decathlon again. The staff were very nonchalant and unhelpful and I left feeling totally defeated. P.S. The nearest carpark costs a small fortune, so make sure to factor this into your visit to the Cambridge store.
With the trend of making stores dog friendly across the UK and it's big social media influence, I am tempted to post my experiences of your two stores online through my Tiktok and Instagram. It's something that needs to be discussed!!

Overall, the staff is unfriendly, lacking skills, and lazy. In particular, Karl(?). I bought a bike about three months ago and my daughter almost got seriously hurt when the screw on the front handle came loose while using it. The brake was stiff from the beginning. I went to this shop to fix it and they fixed the unscrewed handle, but he said to have no time and told me to come back to fix the break next time. I went back to the store and told the staff named Karl to fix it and he told me to wait until someone came over unfriendly. He can talk about this nicely. They fixed it but it was still stiff and the fixer said it happened because I left the bike outside. I have a shade for bikes. I would strongly like to say not to buy a bike here.

Nice store, polite and helpful staff. But it should have been much bigger in a place such as Cambridge. Should have had more stuff.

Terrible. Click and collect not available as stock coming from Europe? yet I went into store and all the items are available.
Incompetent
