I would have given this Asda 5 stars as they usually are up to par with their items and I have no complaints but in the last month, I?ve had some experiences that I have not particularly enjoyed from here.
1) I went to buy some bagels, the ones I wanted were dated 3 whole days BEFORE the day I went shopping, they were mouldy and left on the shelf.
2) the other set of bagels I picked up were also dated 5 days before the day I picked them up meaning I was eating bagels 5 days past their bb date.
3) I went to buy some flat peaches, upon looking for a pack, I see 2 packs with fruit flies in them and had been all smushed and looked gross.
4) bought some oranges from here yesterday, one of them was already rotting and the bb date is a good week away.
Asda fix up! It?s gross and disgusting and I honestly hate to say that I feel they?re losing (if not already lost) their reputation.

Do Not Enter If You Care About Your Privacy (Facial Recognition) ? Asda Cambridge
Went into Asda Cambridge today and got a nasty surprise ? right at the entrance there?s a big camera with facial recognition aimed at every customer walking in. No big, clear warning outside. Just silently scanning faces as you pass.
This isn?t your standard CCTV. Facial recognition means your face is turned into biometric data ? the most personal kind ? and possibly checked against secret ?watchlists.? There have already been cases in the UK of innocent shoppers being wrongly flagged by systems like this. Imagine being treated like a shoplifter because a camera made a mistake.
Asda says it?s for ?security,? but there?s nothing secure about quietly taking people?s most sensitive data without proper notice. My trust in this store just hit zero.
I won?t be coming back until these cameras are gone ? and if you care about your privacy, you might want to think twice before walking through those doors

Asda delivery driver Matt was really rude and in rush, when he was delivering my shopping on Sunday. He was shouting that I have to rush as his frozen items in the van will defrost. Really disappointed!

They ask for physical ID for everything you buy. We are almost 40 but were asked to prove we were older than 25 almost every time for everything. So bad.

Great store. Well stocked with a good variety of fruit, vegetables, food, drink, household items, toys, stationery and clothes. There is also a seasonal aisle for events like Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc. Helpful staff if you need assistance in getting an item from a top shelf or help at the Self Service Machines.

Useless supermarket. Half of everything out of stock whenever I've been. More expensive than other supermarkets, despite being a 'budget' brand. Other supermarkets manage to be cheaper and offer a more consistent stock, so it's clearly an organisational problem. Maybe it's time to review your supply chain management and pricing strategy Asda

This is a good-sized branch of Asda, with a wide product range, including clothing and homeware.
Unfortunately, it's quite badly organised, so it makes it hard to find what you're looking for. Products are also often out of stock, even in the morning, so they are clearly not being replenished as often as they need to be.
In my experience, most of the staff on the shop-floor are a little unfriendly and unhelpful. They also often seem clueless with product queries, as though they don't even know where anything is located! However, the staff at the checkouts are usually really friendly and helpful.
Overall, it's an okay place to shop. There are staffed checkouts, as well as plenty of self service checkouts, so payment is usually quick and easy, even during busy periods.
There are also customer toilets and lots of free parking. Another bonus, is that it has longer opening hours than most of the other supermarkets in Cambridge.

I do grocery shopping from here and using delivery as well. I tried other supermarkets such as Tesco and Ocado etc... Asda provided best service for me so far. My grandmother is 86 years old and she needs help when delivery driver comes. Because she lives in a apartment on second floor. Most drivers just leaves the bags entrance of the door and waits for her to pick up everything. This time driver offered help and literally put everything to fridge and cupboards. Great job Berkcan! She was so happy and told me he is quite respectful and took his time. And assured her to not rushing. I will recommend Asda everyone from now. ?
