We needed a hotel within walking distance to Cambridge city centre, after trawling through the lists the Arundel House Hotel fitted the bill and seemed ideal, I called the hotel directly and spoke to Annette who explained in detail what was available by booking direct, the on site parking and full English breakfasts were what swung it for us so I booked a room for two nights.On arriving we parked our car and proceeded to reception but because we were too early we couldn't get into our room so asked the receptionist if we could get a coffee, within minutes between a pleasant and helpful receptionist and a similar young lady from the restaurant downstairs we were supplied with two welcoming cups of coffee, from then on the exceptional service from all the staff at the Arundel was without doubt flawless.We had evening meals in the hotel each night which were served in reasonable time, good choice, reasonably priced and very nice, then both mornings full english breakfasts which again were perfect with toast and plenty of continental variety too.The double room we were given was a good size with tea and coffee making facilities, and it overlooked the river and park, the room was warm and clean as was the shower/bathroom and linen, the bed was comfortable so no complaints about the room at all.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Arundel House Hotel and will no doubt be returning as soon as we can, hopefully bringing with us some friends.

Wonderful place, very well located, easy to get around the city. There's a Hop on bus in front of the hotel, which will take you all over Cambridge and back. The room was very spacious and clean. Large windows and a great shower. Decent breakfast and nice staff. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms are overpriced and would require a refurbishment to bring it up to date.Room numbers are all over the place and easy to get lost due to four buildings knocked into one.Restaurant is over priced £12.50 for a full English breakfast (local cafe was cheaper)on last night half of the continental breakfast was missing.The TV had no signal or weak signal so couldn't watch the basic channels .WiFi was very weak and kept dying out and had to reimput the password againSome staff on reception was nice e and polite while some didn't know were the rooms were.

Room was nice with good view.Shower had good temperature and pressure but the showerhead ruined it by spraying water in two streams going in totally different directions.Breakfast was included but it was just toast and cereal - what annoyed me was that they had a proper full English breakfast but you had to pay for it separately. It felt like they lured me with the promise of included breakfast, and then were like oh of course we didn't mean proper breakfast, you have to pay for that.Staff were slow and not super friendly.Price was too much for what it was, wouldn't recommend.

Great hotel in a great location. Easy 20 minute walk into the city centre and located opposite the River. Car parking at the rear of the hotel.

We went for lunch Thursday. Food was very good. Service was excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go again.Walkability: Not to far from town. Parking available.

A dated hotel in excellent location where the owner seems to think that having 30 or 40 year old furniture and equipment is still appropriate. Having said that, when you're looking for something cheap, its a decent option.

No updates on decor since previous visits 5 years ago. Very tired in room's. Lack of atmosphere in bar area and restaurant. Breakfast buffet was acceptable.Walkability: Close to amenities of Cambridge

Hotel is very cosy and has preserved its original vintage style which I love, but it is neglected and does need some investment to justify the price. Stuff is very nice, wifi good, wonderfull restaurant and garden. Only unacceptable thing is you can see dust everywhere in the room.
