Good store with great prices. Much less busy these days since they built the other store across town. Also great they have the self serve tills so can go in and out quickly.

The self-checkout system is not working or it is another racial profiling, a member of the shop needs to activate it again and again. Beware that if you any item that has any discount (example 30%), their system has not any discount applied, you must called again their member of staff to manually to add that discount... It is not complicated nowadays to generate a price label with discount aplied like the rest of shops...

Poor management in custom service. The store opens late as 10:35 am instead of 10:30. And the most fanny thing is, the cashier is operated at 11:00 even a long queue is found and waiting for paying.

Racial profiling.
I had lived in Cambridge for a year (Sept 2022- Sept 2023) my accommodation was 10 mins away from this aldi, meaning this became my weekly shopping.
I would shop and workers would watch me and follow me all the time a few of this workers consisted of an Asian worker of Philippine heritage or some sort with black hair , a young female on the till with brown dark hair, also the manager who is a white elder male slim figure grey ish hair (usually wears uniform or checked shirt).
Between sept 2022-sept 2023 the amount of profiling and racism from the STAFF IS INSANE. I?m still traumatise to ever go back to ALDI until this day and we are in December 2024. A year ago
One day I walked in and realised I didn?t have my shopping bag, when I walked in I didn?t even go down an aisle I just walked past the barriers, once I had realised I don?t have my bag by tapping myself and checking my pockets I immediately ran out the store to see if I had dropped it, as I always have the bag in my arm or pocket and this day it wasn?t.
So I ran out a few cms and realised I can?t be asked to go down the road, if I can?t see it from a distance it?s gone right? So I proceed to turn back into the store knowing I will pay for a bag.
The moment I turn back after running a few can out the manager and his co worker confronts me saying that a co worker saw me taking something and run away. I tell him I run out because I was looking for my bag, I was so distraught because are you going to accuse me of a lie? I mentioned I hadn?t even walked down an aisle. They say nothing and let me walk into the shop and don?t apologise.
The manager watches me late at night even when the store is closing (I know when the store closes)
Workers looking over when I?m paying for my groceries, the asian worker could had seen all my bank details if I hadn?t moved my phone.
The young female looking over my till as I pay for a 15p bag after I laid 80£ worth of shopping and because I?m ADHD( I forget stuff) but still I am a black female who shopped there regularly and this was the treatment.
I would NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND or even work at this place. Racism never goes unnoticed and should never be pushed under the but. Please just shop get your food and don?t even think about customer treatment from this place up until now I am a 22 year old female still traumatised from entering that shop. Very disappointing

Crowded and a bit thrown about....long queues at till. Recently had a move about so it's a new adventure looking for your usual items.
