A great vibe in there and really cute! They have great stuff and nice layout and I mean look at the building! It looks better in real life and is perfectly placed by the community garden.Ashwell is a great village all in all and is recommended. It has a lot of geocaches as well surprisingly!

A lovely well maintained little museum. Thank you to the volunteers who keep the place going.

This is a small village museum, with a good variety of items on display. Exhibits include an old fashioned fireplace from the times when cooking was done on the hearth, a couple of antique bicycles, matchboxes from 1800-1910, photos of houses in the village which were pubs at one time or another (quite a number!), thatcher's tools ( you can see several houses roofed with thatch in the village), various clocks, some early police weapons, and many other items too numerous to mention. It should be noted that one of the 3 museum rooms is upstairs so not accessible to some folk. Check for opening times carefully, but Sunday between 2 and 5pm is good. Enjoy.

There is no option to load these photos of Ashwell village. The village is beautifully an steeped in history. The people are very pleasant and polite. The shops are lovely and have some great produce. The sausage rolls are outstanding.

Beautiful little museum in a gorgeous little village with friendly staff. I loved seeing the old penny farthing on display and other unique oddities from the past.

Nice little museum to do with the family where you can find objects from the countryside, utensils, toys from past centuries. The visit will not exceed half an hour.

Lovely community museum with an eclectic mixture of exhibits and good temporary installations. A small collection easily seen inside an hour. Don't miss afternoon tea in the church rooms opposite from 14:30-17:00 and the book swap - check opening days.
