?This Sunday lunch was a complete standout and easily makes my top three Sunday lunches of all time. The shoulder of lamb was incredibly tender and melted in the mouth, a truly perfect portion. The roast potatoes were everything you could hope for?crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The gravy was delicious and complemented everything wonderfully. The vegetables were all cooked perfectly, and the cauliflower cheese was a definite high point, especially with those nice, crispy bits. The treacle sponge and custard was a fantastic way to finish. A truly faultless and memorable meal.

Atmosphere - Traditional pub setting that was quiet. Slight issue was the table and baby seats were quite dirty/sticky. Sat in a private room which was nice.
Service- Attentive and polite, drinks and food came quite quickly.
Food- Ordered the White Hart burger, children?s fish and chips and pie of the day.

I visited this area this weekend from Wiltshire and had lunch on both the Saturday and Sunday at this pub.
I?m glad we booked for today as every table was reserved and I can see why.
I can honestly say the roast I have just eaten was beyond superb (probably the best I?ve ever had).Served on a large serving dish and a huge variety of delicious meat, potatoes and vegetables. The cauliflower cheese was amazing! Excellent value for money.
Saturday lunch was beyond delicious also.
The staff were incredibly professional and friendly.
Will definitely be returning. It?s worth a long drive to eat here.

I first tried the white hart for lunch last week. The pork belly bites from the starters menu are delicious. I enjoyed it so much I took my husband and mum tor a meal last night. We all really enjoyed it. Lovely friendly staff, reasonably priced for the quality of food served. Both times we have been made to feel very welcome with my 3 and half month old baby. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Portion size is Not worth what priced at all !
Booked to celebrate my son?s 18th birthday ?At first , after ordered starter , they made mistake to bring me a dish that?s not gluten free when I have gluten allergy , they did bring me a new dish on the house but then we ordered our mains and after waitress left with our orders, she came back after a few minutes to say they don?t have the pork in stock for that dish so we had to choose over again with limited choice as the meals is so expensive . When we got our food it was sò Disappointing ! The flatbread was so tough to eat or cut , the lamb kofta was bland and hot just 1 skewer for £20 ?! (Sêe on pics what one get for the high prices)
Was tricky to eat as the flatbread wrap cant fold up properly, food just falls apart and a mess on plate.big cut salad pieces made it even trickier. Was a strange serving of that dish .
The pork belly is also a rip off as such small portions for £22,50? dont order that if you very hungry ! Pork was blank and tough .
Because food was sò small had to order extra fries . That was the only good tasting food !
Also I asked before the booking if they can present like a special dessert surprise for my son birthday , but after I complained about the dissapointment they didn?t offer to composate for something on the house like a dessert at least just for my son . So we didn?t order anything more and just wanted to leave.
Will never go there again .

We came for lunch on Tuesday and the food was great, the halloumi fries were probably the best I?ve ever had, and the pork belly bites were very nice. Our main courses were really good aswell, the service from our server who was also working behind the bar was fantastic. She was always making sure our experience was the best. We will definitely be coming back again.

Dropped in for a Monday lunch as we were nearby. Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, with generous portions, great presentation and a very reasonable price!

Stopped here for a midweek lunch with a friend. We ordered the halloumi burger with Rosemary fries. The portion was absolutely huge, with 2 large pieces of halloumi in the burger and a really decent amount of fries. The rosemary seasoning was delicious. We arrived at 12 and our table was a little bit dirty so it could do with a clean for hand. Apart from that great. Really friendly service too. would recommend

this visited with my family. the service i received yesterday was appalling. the customer service was shocking. there was dirty cutlery, there was cup with water stains and the cod was subpar at best and to top it all off, i could hear a chef shouting profanity at the servers from the kitchen.
this will her last time take my dying father to this establishment. appalled is an understatement
