I?ve tried to leave a review a few times based on my experiences but they keep disappearing. I?d just like to be honest about how my friend?s and I felt, during our time at the Craufurd Arms.
We?ve been coming for years, and while always maintaining a positive attitude and not letting negative vibes get to us, we can?t help but feel judged by certain members of staff.
On numerous occasions, we have been made to feel unwanted, laughed at, sworn at, stared at, picked on, and just not welcome in any sense by bar staff.
The ?inclusive? approach they seem to think they portray, unfortunately does not reflect the genuine experiences I?ve, and many others have had here over the past few years. We believe that certain bar staff are only interested in serving a very specific type of person and we as customers, would prefer to be treated fairly - especially considering we spend so much of our time and money enjoying ourselves at the venue - and will continue to do so regardless.
We just wish for more kindness, less territorial behaviour, and inclusivity going forward.

Myself and my friends visit Craufurd multiple times per month and although we always have a lovely time, certain staff members always ruin the vibe. I wasn?t going to post anything as we love it and don?t want to give you guys a bad name, but a few particular staff members have been rude to me and my friends continuously for absolutely no reason. We have been sworn at, called idiots, stared and laughed at and treated like children for no good reason. I understand you work long hours and probably deal with a few drunk and disorderly customers, but you cannot generalise all of your customers based on the actions of a few. You work in a customer facing environment so treating customers fairly should be a priority. I always thought of Craufurd as an inclusive and safe space for alternative people but now I am starting to change my opinion as I always feel judged here:(
I?d like to add that the DJ, Olly, was amazing, chatty and really fun, I would give him 5 stars if I could as well as whoever was on security as he was really interactive and hilarious, but bar staff are seriously lacking in decency even though I have been nothing but kind to you all:(

Visited to see 'Men Without Hats' in Aug 2025. Friendly crowd, interesting decor and a great evening. I will definitely be checking them out again.
If you want to eat somewhere beforehand then I'd also recommend the MK Viet Kitchen a few minutes walk away.

Went for lunch as we'd previously eaten here with our daughter, who is a local.
Certainly not disappointed....
Delicious ? food as per previous visit.
I love their menu.
I love their decor.
The service is exemplary as is the food & it's presentation.
We will be back again.... hopefully soon!

A really nice small music venue.
Great acoustics.
Downside: very difficult finding somewhere to park nearby.
Upside: there's a train station within walking distance.
All in all a great night out.

This is one of the best music venues I go to, it's got that Soho vibe like the Astoria, Marquee, Borderline and the similar places had in the day.
The sound is great, you can't get a bad view of the stage in there.
It gets HOT in there too.
It's not the easiest place to get to from where I live but it's worth the journey... Love it!
