Had a chicken and lamb doner takeaway - huge portions, fantastic flavours and even some baklava on the house. Lovely family run business which I can warmly recommend ?

I was very excited to try out the restaurant but was incredibly disappointed.
We ordered the mixed grill family box to take away and requested rice instead chips. The box was full of over cooked meat, (rather than cubed grilled chicken it was dry slithers of breast ) and loads of dry chicken doner that was inedible.
The halloumi that we ordered was missing , no rice as requested and the salad was just lettuce and cucumber, no tomatoes and chillies as you usually get with a Turkish meal.the whole meal cost £62 and we couldn?t eat most of it. Turkish food/Grilled meats and salad shouldn?t be so hard to prepare nicely. We threw most of it away and had to eat cheese on toast instead. I don?t like to give negative reviews but felt I needed to share so others don?t waste their money.

Absolute gem Wendover. Just finished the Ridgeway walk and came back for dinner and what a dinner. Pleased to see it was dog friendly so could venture out from a pub dinner. Great portions and fantastic flavours. I?ve seen other reviews complain about the service charge added but it was deserved by our waitress. We were more than happy to pay

The food was well cooked, hot, nicely seasoned and presented with panache and flair without being too fussy. Service was swift, courteous and attentive. The Turkish delight that were gratis with the bill were a nice touch.
The decor was light and an eclectic mix of large pictures and Turkish inspired trinkets and lights. Overall it worked well and combined with soft background music, provided an engaging ambiance.
Would I return? In a word, yes.

First time I?ve ever been and I ordered a take away coffee . How can you charge 12.5% service charge to hand a coffee in my hand . I could have gone to Costa and paid less and had a better coffee
