First time for quiet Friday lunch. Fish and chips and steak and kidney pie (homemade) both very nice.
Very friendly welcome on arrival. I understand it can get quite busy but on this occasion we didn't need to book. Will be returning.

Another fantastic steak and chips meal with my wife, a lovely place to eat, we love coming here.
Dietary restrictions: A very good choice for a gluten free diet like I have to follow.

Really disappointed and upset with the service at the pub. Ordered the smashed burger, chicken katsu both of which were subpar. More worryingly, I chewed on a piece of metal wire (around 4cm in length) which was deep in the burger, thankfully I was able to get it out without any damage to my mouth. I notified the bar staff who took the piece of wire, however he dropped it and lost it on the way to the chef. They apologised, however refused any refunds. Please don't get misled by the rating. Location is nice but everything else is subpar and the staff indifferent.

Wow, wow, wow, that was possibly the best burger I have had in the 44 years I?ve been on this earth. Staff are consistently friendly, atmosphere is good. I?ve always enjoyed their Pie of the day/week also.

Quiet little pub that enjoyed lunch in midweek. Lovely place, great service. Good food. Wood happily enjoy a smash burger again, maybe a double next time.

This was my first visit to this pub. There is a tricky right hand turn on a blind corner to negotiate to get to it. Next time I would drive further up the hill and do a u turn where safe. It is situated in pretty Taplow village and has a parking are out the back where I also saw outside tables for the better weather. As it was Sunday we both opted for the roast loin of pork which was absolutely delicious. Prices reasonable. Such a big meal we has no space for a dessert. The next table to us ordered the fish and chips which smelled divine. I would definitely go there again

Just been to the Oak and Saw for the wife's birthday lunch.Warm friendly welcome on arrival.Great food, went for the roast beef which was served with a huge Yorkshire pudding.They have a great selection of ales at the bar which is perfect for me.The staff were attentive throughout our visit and made us feel valued as customers.Make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding. Delicious.Will be back soonThank you.
