Special occasion and we pre-ordered, however, the host's main was incorrect. The starters and desserts were lovely-looking, however, nobody raved about the mains.

We arrived an hour before our booked table to have a drink in the bar first. The bar appeared understaffed and having approached the bar to order and been directed to a table on the basis that 'someone will take your order', that 'someone' took a long time to be free. I suspect this was a one-off, though, as we have visited before and had no such issue.
Don't let this distract you from the food here, which is exceptional. A thoughtfully composed menu. Well cooked with friendly, unobtrusive service.
A good atmosphere with a lovely outlook over the river Thames. Don't worry if you don't get a table with a view; the food, drink and service will be a treat in themselves.

Staff friendly nice atmosphere but a bit noisy, we went for Sunday lunch yesterday and I had the lamb which I sent back as it was very fatty and gristly they gave me a fresh plate with fresh portion of meat, which was not much better.
This is not the first time the meat on a dish has been disappointing.
We have been attending this restaurant a couple times a month.
We are going to give this restaurant a miss now for a while.
