Based on reviews and a personal recommendation we had high hopes for this restaurant, but were left bitterly disappointed. The restaurant felt unloved and some of the food we received was bland and mediocre. There was none of the flare of a great Thai restaurant and the plates visually looked thrown together rather than plated. As for portion sizes - laughable. For what we paid I would expect a lot more from a restaurant.

First time we order take away from Anong Thai. Finally we found a place that we are pleased to pay because the food was worth it! I had to wait a long time until I found my favourite thai place again. This 2025 started well ?

The food was good but small portions.Service average, place was empty but we still couldn't choose better tables near the window only because they were 4 seater table but nobody was there and it was still empty when we were leaving.Some people walked away after receiving not the best service.I have invited my partner for his birthday dinner and on the way back home we stopped at take away place as he was still hungry. £80 dinner with starters with teas only it's over priced .

I discussed the food options with the owner and chatted about flavours and spices. I'm a fan of Thai food anyway so when I was recommended the Yellow Beef Curry with Jasmine rice I agreed with the choice.
Wonderful flavours, smells and good portions of food.
All the staff are so friendly and want to make your stay comfortable. Great chatting with you all ?

One of the best! I am a bit tentative when it comes to Thai food as it's not my go-to cuisine, but my experience at Anong was fantastic. Kitthey, and her staff were very cordial, we had plenty of good chats as we had someone with an allergy at our table, they were so helpful in what we could order. The chicken and prawns were excellent, and the mixed platters were also very good.

Had a lovely meal here last week. Great food and very friendly service. The staff overheard it was the birthday of one of our party and brought a portion of Apple fritters with a candle in it, unsolicited, after our main course! So thoughtful! Will definitely go back.

My Dad loves this restaurant so we always come here to enjoy a meal treat celebration ?????? now and again. Thai hospitality is always Wonderful ??? and the food yummy. To my delight when we came last time they Now do COCKTAILS & MOCKTAILS ?They didn't have my FAVOURITE ONE - PINA COLADA so we had BLUE HAWAII which was close enough. My only complaint is the portion sizes but I guess being a ganet like me I just have to order double and may be this is why the Thai people are small ?... Anyways would Highly recommend
