A lovely, friendly cafe which is in the grounds of Claydon park. There's a really great selection selection of cakes which taste as good as they look.
There's plenty of seating and the service was really quick and efficient. The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was also really lovely having some music playing in the background, made it more homely.

Visited as a family with my daughter, her husband, and their children. My daughter?s knee gave way in the courtyard, and she fell quite hard. The staff were wonderful, brought first-aid supplies, and made sure she was ok. They made a good cup of tea too ?

Café at the courtyard on the Claydon Estate. We just had cake and coffee/hot chocolate. Service was ok. Cakes were ok, a little on the dry side. The indoor seating was very cramped, one section was closed off, so we ate outside. Luckily it wasn't raining. Reasonably priced. There were hot and cold food options on the menu.

We went to the Valentine supper club - the food was delicious but enormous portions! The setting was beautiful - we thought it might feel a bit like the cafe it is during the day, but the white linen cloths and floral arrangements together with gentle lighting and music made it feel very comfortable and cosy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and charming (particular thanks to Faith!). We'll be back!

Disappointed with the Christmas afternoon tea. Sandwiches still with crusts on, savoury pastries served cold, scones & shortbread hard and very dry.VERY expensive for what we got. (£26 per head!)On a positive note, the coffee was lovely as were the staff. Very clean and nice restaurant too.

A lovely place. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and good value. Have visited for coffee and cake (a great stop if you?re cycling) and the supper club evenings are a great price with superb food. Highly recommend a visit.

Visited The Phoenix Kitchen today afternoon tea & we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were lovely & the food was delicious, from the sandwiches to the cakes & scones. We were kept topped up with tea, so we went away very satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

Disappointed to find this wasn?t a National Trust cafe . Had a pot of tea each and a scone to share. It came with cream and jam . Husband asked for a butter and was told that the chef said ?no? , we couldn?t have butter too!!! Cost £9.70 and they couldn?t afford to give us 1 knob of butter? The customer resistance department?.and the scone wasn?t that fresh either!

Just enjoyed our afternoon tea and bubbles at Phoenix Kitchen (was an Xmas gift from family). Lovely sandwiches with bread from local bakery, mini home made quiche and sausage roll delicious followed by fruit scone, brownie and cake. Very enjoyable and made all the better by the great staff. Lorraine in particular very helpful and we thought she coped beautifully with a difficult customer! Will definitely be back....
