I've been a regular customer at Costa, but recently I've become quite disappointed with the service. While the menu proudly advertises a wide range of coffee options, the reality often falls short. Unfortunately, the staff seem unsure how to make many of the drinks properly, and more often than not, my order is either made incorrectly or misunderstood entirely.
It?s frustrating to order something specific and receive something else ? especially when it happens consistently. If you're going to offer a diverse coffee menu, the team should be properly trained to deliver what?s being advertised.
I really hope Costa takes this feedback seriously and works on improving staff training and order accuracy. The potential is there, but the execution needs work.

Flat white, drink so hot I couldn't hold it. You cannot taste any Expresso just burnt milk. Typical Costa standards

I use this Costa regularly and wanted to say that recently the customer service has noticeably improved, in particular with the addition of Cole - he is always very friendly and goes above and beyond. It?s nice to have a friendly member of staff that actually wants to interact with you! Great coffee and cakes too of course!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was strangely quiet. Service was quick and we only had drinks. Plenty of seating and there's a customer toilet.

Costa is great, but Thame needs a repaint, and some better lighting. An old traditional building with a very low ceiling it is somewhat claustrophobic.

C.O.D would sharpen this coffee shopLong queues and staff who enjoy banter with each other rather than focusing on serving customers could all be solved by a system of Cash On Delivery (C.O.D).No cash until the product in the customers hand would put a time pressure on them to be swift. I waited 10 mins from ordering for a coffee and a cake and that was a typical wait.It's no good, no good at all.

At this Costa location, you'll find friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. However, it tends to get quite busy, and seating options are limited. On two separate occasions, we encountered issues with the card machine failing. Fortunately, we had cash on hand both times, preventing our coffees from going to waste.
