The shop is of a decent size and has a good choice. Unfortunately the staff and managers have an appalling attitude to customer service and customers are treated with utter contempt. An unpleasant shopping experience overall.

Sarcasm is all part of their service.
I had to return an item to this Sports Direct store in the Milton Keynes shopping centre. The item was a little over the return date, and the lady who served me was very helpful. Then it happened, someone who worked there, maybe a manager or line manager standing behind the person serving me had to open her mouth.
I was handed some till paperwork, and I was not sure if they had refunded my card, or given me a credit note. So I politely asked the woman serving me if it had been refunded to my card. I looked at the receipt and saw there was a credit note attached to the top. I asked could I spend it in the store, and then miss sarcasm from behind the person serving me piped up with ?no you frame it?.
Yes, she made me feel stupid, yes, I had my son standing next to me, and yes as a father I felt even more embarrassed. But what did miss sarcasm who works for Sports Direct care. She had probably made herself look good in front of her associates, but some people do not take kindly to that sort of treatment, especially when serving customers who spend their hard earned money at these type of stores.
I realise now It was a dumb question from me about the credit note, but I had a lot on my mind at the time, but sarcasm from people serving customers is a no go.
Would I shop there again due to this, no. Did the woman in question really care about her words to customers, probably not.
This might seem like a silly upset, but these type of stupid comments can really get at paying customers. If you have staff at front of house, make sure they are trained well, and try to tell them to keep their stupid comments to themselves.

Really has masses of gear for men, women & kids for all types of sport with great prices too.
Activities to entertain kids while you browse.

I had terrible experience at this store. I had a gift card from Frasers group, which is parent company of sports direct. I politely asked the store manager, Geoff but he striaghtaway declines saying Sports direct doesn?t have option to use Fraser Gift card and i was publicly told that the gift i have is a Scam. All of this is witnessed by people behind the till.
I ended up using the Gift card anyway. Please educate your store manager , Geoff on usage of Fraser Group Gift card. Geoffs shift was over hence I couldn?t let him know. Please look after the customers well or they may not come back again ever. The date of transaction is on 1st August, 2025.

Floor was EXTREMELY slippery all over the store, made me slip and fall with no wet floor sign in site, now my socks are wet. NOT HAPPY!

The store is very good after opening. Clean and many positions. But the employees did not help at all. I approached with the question 2 times. And i left with nothing. (06.07 Young man working in running shoe department.)

The store itself is spectacular. A wide variety of items and good prices. My 3 stars are because I wasn't served well... I wanted to try on 6 things and the girl at the till near the fitting rooms told me I could only try on 3. I asked if she could change the 3 items while I was in the fitting room so I could continue trying on the rest. She said no. That I had to get dressed and leave so I could come back in with the next 3 pieces. Total nonsense... When I went to pay, I asked her the price of something and she rolled her eyes and didn't answer me. Super rude and poor customer service.

Apparently the rule is that you can only try 3 pairs of shoes and buy something or leave because it means you're wasting staff time. What a joke of a business.

My first time going into the new sports direct and wow what a difference! A lot of space and a much more vibrant atmosphere compared to the old store. However the reason for this review was for the service I received last Saturday. My son is special needs and can be a handful. Shopping for him is a nightmare however Saif was there and helped a whole lot! He was very nice and engaging with my son even showing shoes which he thought my Son may have liked- which he did. Just thought I had to leave a review for the amazing service at Sports Direct and what an improvement from the old store!
