I collected my glasses today and had Dorina check them for me. She was Wonderful at my eye test appointment, as was Ajay the optician I saw. Lovely people who are good at their jobs and give their customers time and excellent service. The only shame was waiting 15 minutes to collect the glasses although I?d booked an appointment for it. The air conditioning also made the place freezing on my eye test day which was not v nice!

Boots Optical at Crown Walk in Milton Keynes does an exceptional job of making me feel seen and welcome. I had an eye exam including two extra tests for which I paid. My sight had changed a lot in the past 21 months due to worsening of cataracts and I was referred the same day for surgery with careful explanations given. I rate my experience as 10 out of 10!

I am sad to say that this, was the first time I experienced an impatient and rude optician at Boot's. I felt the optician rushed,my appointment from the start, when I was explaining my opticial history and he kept guessing at what I was going to say, as if to save time and hurry me along. He complained loudly that I made the machinery move, when he had not considered my comfort or position before carrying out the test in question. He told me that by blinking, he could not do his job properly. This after he'd spent quite some time, observing my retinas with my head held in place by a metal contraption and with a bright light glaring into my eyes! I did not mention that the pupil in my left eye is permanently dilated, it seemed quite irrelevant.
