Food and drinks: "I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the staff (Fanuel, Nevdeep, and the Italian girl whose name I don't know). I will definitely come back again and recommend this place to my friends because of the kindness of these wonderful people."

Took afternoon tea here. Brilliant service, good food but cakes were a bit uninspiring - not that we left any!!! (-: tip if it's sunny sit inside by the river. You get a better view without baking!!
Additional info...4 days later I got a parking fine for £60 despite registering my car. Not Amused.
Hotel has given me an email to send to the parking company to hopefully cancel it. BUT IS IT REALLY MY JOB TO DO THIS???
Further update, the Parking Eye Company have rejected the Hotels assurancve that we were there and registered our car! So now I am having to provide extra information to stop them issueing me a fine. Not only not happy but getting pretty annoyed. The Hotel should be sorting this out. Not me.

My visit to the Compleat Angler Hotel's restaurant and bar with my husband was extraordinary. Upon arrival, we were captivated by the breathtaking views over tranquil waters. Enjoying a delightful glass of wine, I found harmony in the serene ambiance. The exceptional service, marked by friendly and knowledgeable staff, greatly enhanced my experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or a peaceful retreat, the Compleat Angler is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking exquisite cuisine, exemplary service, and stunning scenery. I look forward to our return!

I visited the Macdonald Compleat Angler bar, and my experience was a bit mixed. At first, I felt ignored because nobody came to help me, so I had to go into the building to find the bar. However, everything changed when I met the manager Mr Clad. He was very friendly and professional, and he made me laugh. He really stood out, and I quickly found out that he was great at making cocktails. After a few really good drinks, I felt much happier and left satisfied. Overall, the bar has a lot of potential, but I hope they can improve their service at the start to match the amazing skills of their staff.Love the place , beautiful view.

Beautiful location. Rooms are very tired, especially the bathroom. Breakfast very average, nobody could cook an egg.

The location and the garden is all this place has going for it. The service at the bar is INCREDIBLY slow, like seriously if there?s a group booking of 100 people maybe you should get someone else on the bar. But the worst thing, by far was the breakfast. IT WAS TERRIBLE! Poached eggs that were completely raw, the fattiest piece of bacon you could get, uncooked black pudding that was like mush on the plate. Oh and you want beans on your breakfast, well here?s a THIMBLES worth of beans. Honestly if a greasy spoon can cook a breakfast a professional kitchen should.
If this place was not on the river with a good view it would not survive. How you can mess up a breakfast that badly I have no idea.
Would not return?. Or I would just to sit in the garden.

We had an excellent stay here, fantastic location the rooms were very comfortable, but lacked USB/USB-C outlets. Only complaint about the room was that we were in an annexe and the wifi was appalling, often couldn't even get a signal. Heard other residents saying the same as well.
We had one evening meal in the hotel which was excellent. Breakfast was great, except for our final morning. Having had a few days of sumptuous bacon breakfast rolls our last morning we were served some mediocre bun with 2 pieces of bacon, I prepare better than that at home. As it was our last breakfast before a long journey it was extremely disappointing.
Rooms: Very comfortable, spacious, includes a coffee machine. Lack of USB/USB-C sockets and if in the annexe wifi is awful.
Walkability: Extremely easy walk into the town of Marlow. A very beautiful setting on the Thames. Lots of restaurants to walk to.
