My husband and I had the Sunday roast. It was fabulous. We chose to sit outdoors and then the rain started. Staff invited us to come sit inside. Everyone was kind.

The best pub for miles.
Clare and the team offer excellent service, the food is just what you are looking for in a pub, and the range of ales is perfect.
Dogs are welcome, and the regulars are friendly.
If you looking for somewhere with decent food, ale, good conversation, and great staff then go here. If you don't want any of that then try one of the faceless brewery chains elsewhere.

Very disappointing experience. My friend and I came for a drink here recently (19/07) and were appalled by the rude staff. One bartender (the lady who runs the pub!) rushed us for our drink order despite us being the only people ordering, although we clearly were not ready to order and standing back from the bar. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue except another bartender (young man) goes out of his way to make the comment 'wakey wakey girls' despite dealing with other customers, a comment which was not only completely unnecessary but also highly patronising and belittling. Not sure why this comment was necessary when we were clearly discussing what we wanted to drink? Such a shame from a business that claims to have a 'big heart'. Would NOT recommend and will NOT be returning.

A great pub for a quick pint and a bite to eat. I called in on a sunny evening to find plenty of parking space and a large garden area with plenty of seating. It's a dog friendly establishment, and I was greeted by 3 friendly chocolate coloured labradors.
The locals were also very friendly and returned my hello guys.
I didn't stop long but enjoyed my pint of larger and bowl of chips. I will call in again when passing. I took photo of the blackboard (!!!?).
Parking: Room for 20+ cars plus on street parking
Kid-friendliness: Many families with children in the outside garden area.

I visited the pub for the bank holiday beer festival. Beers and service were excellent and I would certainly visit Again. As I didn't eat, I cannot comment on the food.

Great place, especially if you have a dog. Totally cater for the dogs with fresh water and outdoor covered area. Food is delicious and tasty. Didn't put us off but it was a little chilly while we waited. Staff helpful and professionalWheelchair accessibility: Some level access but a couple of small steps to manage.
