Nice store in 1 2 or 3 pound products.

Poundland has changed over the years, when they first started as a discount store it was a very innovative idea as indeed everything they stocked was priced £1 or under. A bargain store nationwide in the increasingly expensive high street. But now it seems that the original idea has been forsaken and the premise is that whilst it is still good value for money a lot of it's products cost over £1 just the same as everywhere else. Does anyone else agree with me?

Poundland has lost its USP. I would prefer to visit Aldi or Lidl

Sign on the door says it closes at 18.00, member of staff didn't allow me in at 17.55 as that's when they stop let people in. ( door was open and people were still shopping inside)

Everyone of their tills were declining everyone?s card payments.
When I pointed this out to the member of staff on tills, she insisted we just keep attempting to pay as it was our fault because we were paying with card payments. My friend and I were astonished by her rudeness to all the customers attempting to pay, over an issue that was the fault of the store tills and not customers.
I now have multiple outstanding payments on my account that I have to wait for them to bounce back to me, because I was told to try so many times.
Also just to add insult to injury, when being ID the member of staff tried to refuse my university ID as a proof of age, even after I politely explained I didn?t have any other ID and I had to be over 18 to be at university.
My friend and I, along with many other customers walked out without what we went in to purchase.

Lots of stuff, at the average quality you'd expect at the price tags attached, but also many surprisingly high quality stuff at very affordable price

I do not know who was the "genius" responsible for the removal of some self-checkouts... Now thx to the brilliant idea, there is not single day without a queue because the tills that suppose to have an attendant are empty, which means that only 4 self checkout machine doing a job that was previously done by 7 or 8 of them. Well done, the smartness behind the idea is impressive!

The store is always pretty tidy and well stocked with obviously some fantastic bargains, even on brands like Radox. Love the snacks they sell and the stationery plus the little things and decorations for Christmas and Easter.

Located within the Eden Shopping Center in the center of High Wycombe. It's quite small compared to other Poundland stores.
Don't look for too many products, there are not many available.
Since it is located inside the Central Shopping store, you can still meet your needs in some way.
There are payment machines inside. A cashier works.
Don't forget to bring your own bag because you will have to pay 1.70 pounds for the bag.
There is no parking problem.

Tripping over staff stacking shelves, but otherwise an Aladdin's cave of stuff you never knew you needed.
