The worst carvery I've ever had. The food was cold

Arrived at about 5.30 pm just after one of the regular Chinese tourist buses. It was not overly busy but it looked as though it was coming up for a busy period. There was definitely a lack of staff as our female server was flitting around trying to accommodate everyone. \nWe placed our order and went to get our food. The meats were not looking good and two customers from the coach were in front of us being served. I?m sure this is supposed to be something special for them to have a traditional English roast. The scraping of crumbly hard remnants of beef placed on her plate was embarrassing. She could not communicate as she obviously didn?t speak good English but just accepted this and moved on. Then two more customers were served and were given very small portions of meat (turkey and beef) and again the meat just crumbled. It looked like it had dried under the hot lights. My wife was then served and her turkey was from the new side of the bird, but the carver just cut straight through the skin. My wife pointed out that she did not want this but he still cut the next slice the same way. I had the pork and turkey and my meat was fine but I believe the portion sizes have definitely reduced. The veg was spar e and again all dried up. The leaks were awful and hard and chewy, peas like bullets and roasties were looking good but not crispy. All tasty when you cover with the gravy but definitely lacking the quality that Toby used to be.

We needed somewhere between all of us to meet up, Denham was perfect but on arrival we all thought it was very run down especially the front doors and the cracked seating, however get past the appearance and we were welcomed by staff and had a very enjoyable hot meal. Well done to the staff. But Toby needs to give this place a refurbishment tp stop it looking derelict.

Ages since I have been at a Toby, so was looking forward to it. Clearly they had been busy as the place was littered with dirty tables and the carvery was very messy. The soup was cold, but was replaced. The carvery food was tasty but again, temperature was a problem. Not sure how the large size works but didn't seem to get much extra. Also when at the carvery had to wait until the staff got their food! The chef who served me was amazing and one of the few professionals. Lots of staff wandering about with hands in pockets and hoodies on and it just looked sloppy. There was one young guy in a suit who seemed the most switched on and was trying to get things done but unfortunately he was getting back chat from the youngsters....shame as he was trying \nOverall not the best experience....a shame

Amazing service best Asian carver. a classic, satisfying Sunday roast experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The star of the show, the roast, is cooked to perfection, with tender, flavorful meat and crispy, golden-brown potatoes. The selection of seasonal vegetables is a welcome addition, and the gravy is rich and delicious, a true highlight. Service is attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. While not a fancy, fine-dining establishment, Roast Carving delivers on its promise of a hearty, comforting roast dinner, making it a great choice for a traditional British meal,

Restaurant was overbooked, had to wait, whats the point in booking a table?\nThe queue was about 15 deep as only one chef serving !\nHardly any choice of meat when got there, bought out a new beef, full of fat and gristle, couldnt eat it !\nLots of tables were complaining\nNot acceptable, very poor

Disappointing visit. Tiny meat portion, lukewarm veg, lumpy gravy, and nearly empty dishes. No gluten-free dessert options and staff didn?t check in once. A proper roast should be hot, hearty, and well-stocked?this was not. Won?t be

I had a fantastic meal at Toby Carvery Denham! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The carvery itself was outstanding ? a wide selection of perfectly cooked meats, fresh vegetables, and delicious gravy. The quality and presentation exceeded my expectations, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.\n\nThe restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Whether you're looking for a hearty family meal or a casual outing with friends, Toby Carvery Denham is a great choice. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon!

Good service, very professional, polite and good fun. The young chap that looked after us was under a lot of pressure considering he has only been working there 1 week and coped very well.\n\nWe have eaten at this Toby several times and unfortunately this was our worst experience so far. Veg was very poor, all very dry as it appeared it had been on the hotplate / under the lights for a significant period of time. Cauliflower cheese had no cheese sauce in so was just dry cauliflower. Roast potatoes here are normally amazing and the again were shrivelled\n\nAlso we didn?t realise until after we had left that we didn?t get our Pigs in Blankets.\n\nHopefully will have improved by the next time we visit as this place is normally really good and great value for money.

Food was really nice got to desserts and everything was going great?. until I was 5 spoons into my cookie dough Sunday and bit into something hard considering the cookie dough and ice cream was as a soft as anything I immediately noticed something was wrong! Spat out the foreign object only to find it was a nail clipping. Absolutely mortified me and my family to be honest nobody ate the rest of their desserts for obvious reasons, was offered another one kindly declined. Didn?t feel satisfied with the servers attempt to have another one made. Received the bill with all the desserts on got a manager and told her about the situation she kindly took off the price for desserts but didn?t feel as though my trauma was addressed at all there was no urgency of compassion as to how this was acceptable or how it had been allowed to happen so for that I don?t think I will be back to Toby Carvery In Denham.

This places is amazing we had a code for a £6 roast. The staff were all lovely and friendly even though they were extremely busy. Our server was new to the restaurant for being new she was extremely good. Good was delicious too nice hot and fresh, you could see the chef bringing out new pots when the other dishes were getting low.

I just wanted to take a moment to give a special shout-out to Curtis at Toby Carvery Denham. He truly is the best server we could ask for! Curtis is always so friendly, making sure that not only my family but also my dietary needs are taken care of with great attention. He?s incredibly personable and goes out of his way to make us feel welcome every time we visit.\n\nWhat really sets him apart is how great he is with my kids. They absolutely love him! His jovial personality always makes them laugh, and it?s clear he genuinely enjoys interacting with them. It?s rare to find someone who is so dedicated to their role and brings such a positive energy to the table.\n\nThank you, Curtis, for always making our visits memorable. You?re a real asset to the team!

I visited tobys yesterday evening for lunch \nI got 2 paper thin slices of roast beef full of fat you could not cut this beef thiner if you tried Monster Yorkshire pudding as much cold veg as we wanted. I think they need to understand that veg is served with meat in this case it seemed meat served with veg .\nVery dissapointed won't be back unfortunately .
