Very interesting place
Assumed to be the ?Mad Hatter?s shop in Alice in Wonderland. Roger Crabb (c1621) returned back to Chesham to do his old job, shaping hats with mercury and thus became Mad. A nice coffee shop and the owner tells the story. Coffee walnut cake served in nice Queen Anne china plates which is my fine line. Johnny Depp came to visit here and sit in this bench to catch the mood of Mad Hatter.

We thoroughly enjoyed stepping back in time to enjoy a sandwich, cream tea and excellent service. Literally everything is vintage and that's where the quality lies. Even the vintage toys were a winner with our little boys, leaving us to have a peaceful light lunch. Unique and what the high street needs.

Very nice interior and friendly staff. Four of us came after a long walk and the staff were very helpful and directed us to the taxi stand. The food came very quickly and was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend for anyone!

The cutest little tea room. We always visit this when in Chesham. You can't fault the service and food here. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing as well.

An Italian coffee machine from 70s that still makes first class coffee and a very friendly owner from Devon.

It was a gorgeous day, hottest of the year so far according to the Met Office, so I went to Chesham to have a look around this rather nice little market town. Unfortunately, being mid-week, it was not 'Market Day' but still a very nice place to see. Lunchtime drew near and my eye was caught by 'Wotnot' a Vintage Café at the end of the High Street. This really is a delightful little café. The interior is rather small but extremely cosy, and cool, with a fan helping. Inside there are small tables, chairs and benches and lots of cushions making it very comfortable to sit and eat. There are also tables and chairs outside the front where you can sit and 'people-watch'. It was a bit hot and bright for me to do that today. Nostalgia reigns supreme here with lots of toys and other things from the past. Many from the era of my own childhood in the 1950s with Noddy, Big Ears and Mr Plod sitting on the window sill, Green Shield Stamps (Remember those?) and lots of things to look at. The owner is a very amiable chap indeed and we had a very nice chat. He told me about some of the things in his establishment as well as other attractions in the town such as the 'Good Earth Gallery'. I just had a snack for lunch, white coffee, a sliced turkey sandwich on seeded bread with salad, but both were very tasty indeed, quickly served and reasonably priced. This little café is now on my list of places to return to and I can thoroughly recommend it to everyone.
