“The highest standards of customer service I have come across in a VERY long time. Our Bosch washing machine packed up after six years of service, so we rang John at Home Appliances to see if it could be fixed. He came out to look within 24 hours and only charged us a basic £35 call-out fee. He couldn’t find an obvious problem, so took the machine back to his workshop to see if he could sort out the problem. He spent the following morning taking the machine apart (no extra charge), but called to say it was a motherboard failure - not worth fixing. He sent us the reference for the latest version of the same machine and gave us the price if he ordered it for us, but no hard sell - he was quite happy for us to do an online price comparison. We found John Lewis were quoting a price about £55 lower. However, when we looked closer we found that they charged £20 for disposal and £25 for installation. This meant that the price John had quoted was only £10 more than John Lewis. Needless to say, we asked John to order one for us. It was then we discovered the extent of his amazing customer service. The wholesaler told him they couldn’t deliver for a week, so John brought over a reconditioned machine for us to use during that week. WOW. I mean WOW. Would John Lewis have done that? I think not! Our new machine was delivered and installed by John today, and he took back the reconditioned machine he had lent to us FREE OF CHARGE. Absolutely outstanding. Check prices (and hidden extras….) with John Lewis, then call Home Appliances!”
