The church was put up in the late 15th Century, and given a thorough makeover in the 19th Century: what we see today is mostly the restoration, especially the exterior, though broadly on the lines of the original. The square tower is not so high but looks good from a distance along the high street, poking above the buildings; it has oversized pinnacles at the corner. The nave, clerestory above, and aisles below, all 19th-century work from outside, are in flint with stone dressings.
Inside, again, mostly what we see is Victorian, including a fine lofty ceiling of wooden beams and with a few carved half angels with broadly spread wings, in painted wood. There is some exposure of just a little medieval work, including several of the pillars and the piscina. But various of the older monuments which we have come to see have been retained. Altogether, there are around 25 monuments, including several more recent ones, to the Grenfell and Du Pre families. The most interesting are the two grand altar tombs, some minor figure sculpture of Victorian and later times, and a few panels of typical early 19th century types, including a few more ornate ones.

So I?m in the church ?? today for daughters christening preparations and it just completely catches me off guard with my emotions as my father has recently passed away and as my mum and dad got married there and my son was christened in there to while my dad was still with us, it just became all a bit too much to handle .
And St. Mary & All Saints' Church couldn?t of been kinder to me today. Rev. Margot was so lovely and comforting and even said on the day of my daughters christening, they will light a candle ?? in honour of dad, so he?s remembered and with us in spirit ??
I feel so humbled ? that they would do this. So lovely ? Thank you so much x

Nice old building, but a bit draughty. Lots of singing and thats great if you know the words. There is no bar, but wine is free on a merit system. Busy on Sundays. But no bar and hay fever means it's only two stars from me.

Uplifting service of Choral evensong to welcome Revd Margot Suter. Her Christ Church Flackwell Heath family were pleased to worship with you, thank you for your warm welcome.

I feel completely accepted there and made to feel like I belong. While this is how it should be at all churches, not all churches do this.

Such a warm and friendly reception on my first visit. I immediately felt at home there and have since made many friends in Beaconsfield. The Pastoral Team were very supportive when a mobility problem laid me low and I was able to take Holy Communion at home, something I would have missed. Yes, I would recommend St Mary?s to all.
