Great country pub in a lovely location so you can have a drink outside looking over the fields on a nice day or inside by the fire if it's cold. Exceptional food and service to match, we will be spending a lot more time here!

We went tonight for the 'Sussage and Cider' event and couldn't believe how rude the chap manning the outside kitchen was being to customers. The poor younger lads working with him were clearly embarrassed and tried their best to work around this idiot, but deary me. OK so it may have been a long day but he needs to learn some manners in front of paying customers. We won't be returning here any time soon!

Location beautiful - food and service absolutely awful. The waiter was so rude to us and acted as if we were a pain. He never brought our drinks and then when I politely enquired he acted as if we never ordered them. Then the food came and that was wrong - we just felt uncomfortable and the Sunday roast was not nice at all. 60 quid nobody ate and they were rude - very disappointing Father's Day

You simply can?t beat the Clifden. Beautiful location and exceptional service - all members of staff go out their way to look after you. No request is too big. Cracking beer choices and smashing food. Everything about this place is perfect. My favourite pub.

Beautiful quaint pub, stayed one night had breakfast which was amazing, huge car park, lovely outdoor play area for children. Staff really friendly and helpful! Would definitely come back again. Unfortunately there was a weather warning and severe flooding in the whole area with schools closing, the manager Rob suggested we left in order to get back home safely (which was correct as the roads were being shut) and the chef Tom let us follow him back to the main road to get back to the motorway! Amazing staff, so accommodating
Rooms: We stayed in the fern room, extra large double bed, sofa bed, mini kitchen, tv and lovely powerful shower in the bathroom. Also has downstairs rooms available
Nearby activities: About 1/2 hour from Blenheim palace which was beautiful very large stately home with gardens

Beautiful thatched pub with several B n B rooms. The room was small but very nice and clean and a fantastic breakfast. Loved our stay.

This is an excellent Inn. Staff are great, accommodation is lovely, and facilities rich. The best broadband speed I've ever had anywhere, 250Mb up and down. This place is fantastic value for money, excellent breakfast included in the room price. Can't fault it. A real gem of a place.

The Clifden Arms is located in a really beautiful area - village of Worminghall, Buckinghamshire - and the pub itself has a great heritage dating back to medieval times, with the newer section added in 17th century.
We stopped for drinks and lunch, having been recommended to stop here.
Whilst the food wasn?t to our liking and well below the expected standard (and the reputation), the manager was very honest and accountable - so credit where it is due.
Happy to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they took my fair feedback on board so as to improve the kitchen performance and food served. The building and location deserve a higher standard, and independent pubs need support - especially free houses.
Food and drinks: The children?s meals were nice and they enjoyed them. There was a lot of room for improvement on the main meals - but I trust they shall indeed improve in this area.
Noteworthy details: The pub is surrounded by beautiful countryside and gardens.
The pub?s current name is more recent, being derived from an 18th or 19th century Viscount Clifden, who was the heir to the advowson of the parish of Worminghall.
