I don't often write public reviews, if ever at all but the very positive experience prompted me to make an effort. I visited the branch with my child looking to open a child's account. All the staff we came across were attentive and friendly and the lady who helped us (wish I had made a note of her name) was professional, efficient and very friendly. The application was done within ~10 minutes and we hardly got home before the email came through confirming the opening of the account. Impressive and thank you.

I went into Nationwide on Tuesday morning with my daughter to be added onto her account as a 3rd party. The lady that served me said they don?t do 3rd parties. I said to her she?s only 12 and I would like to be able to see how she?s spending and other stuffs. She then replied to me ?then maybe she shouldn?t have the account? shocked and appalled at her response I said okay. This is Nationwide Aylesbury blonde hair woman, nicely shaped, she is normally by the door when you walk in, but on Tuesday 19th November 2024 at around 10am or minutes to 10 she was behind the counter where their cashiers are and she was sitting at the end desk. She even ordered a card and a new pin for my daughter but to make a comment like that was uncalled for.

After phoning Nationwide Customer Services and not getting anywhere, I contacted Aylesbury Nationwide branch and spoke to Sonia who informed me of my best move to sort out my issue. I went into the branch later that day and was again served by Sonia who sorted everything out and was absolutely brilliant, returned home to see a couple follow up calls letting me know a payment had gone through into my account. Absolutely fantastic service.

Just phoned in to book an appointment for a friend in needs to open an account this afternoon. It insisted to have my friend's name, address and DOB before checking the next 'availability'. Why? If I visited the branch, no personal details would have been required for such appointment. The procedure is robotic and the staff is equally robotic - butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. Nationwide spent millions on TV adverts to show their ordinary human touch and customer care, but the phone conversation was quite a contrary - an infuriating experience. I gave up. Nationwide has lost a new customer.

Great building society with helpful and friendly staff. It's not often that you have to queue and when you do, it's not usually a long wait. There are self-service machines available if you're short of time. It's also helpful that this branch is open until 3:00 PM on Saturdays, too.
