I had the most awful experience today at the Aylesbury branch !I visited with my sister who has dementia. Because of her illness she?s very overly friendly and loves to give everyone a shoulder massage. She reached out for an employee?s shoulders and he flung his arms up yelling get off ! (It?s very obvious that my sister is suffering with mental illness)I rushed to them and managed to coax her away. He darted off out the back.As my sister was looking around, I had a quiet word to the manager. I explained the situation and asked if she could let the guy know that she?s ill and perhaps ask him to politely say no thank you rather than responding in such an aggressive manner. She laughed and said I think he?s gone downstairs.i was trying to spread awareness but it was clearly falling on deaf ears.By the time I joined my sister at the till, she was already massaging the shoulders of the checkout girl. I gently tried to encourage her to leave by reminding her we needed to move the car. I also put my hand on my chest in a gesture of apology, quietly asking is this fine or ??The young girl did look slightly uncomfortable but said it?s ok. I think she could tell I was trying my best My sister is well known in the area and most people in the shops and restaurants are incredibly understanding and sympathetic.Just then the manager approached and demanded that I ? don?t allow her to put her hands all over the staff !? I think she was aggrieved by me asking her to please make her employees aware. It was so upsetting. Especially as I had only just explained the situation to her. She then said that I was just ?standing there watching her? to which I replied that I had been trying to coax her away and the cashier actually backed me up. She continued to say that she had a ?duty of care to her staff? I reminded her that she also had a duty of care to her customers (especially vulnerable ones). She didn?t seem interested and just seemed to want an argument. I would have had the situation under control in the time she took arguing. She was effectively blocking me from managing the situation and it could have resulted in a massive meltdown.(my sister is prone to outbursts when she?s stressed or overwhelmed, because of her illness). The manager was completely obnoxious and unprofessional. She had no empathy whatsoever. People like this make the lives of vulnerable people and their caregivers 100 times more difficult

Gone downhill in recent years. The labels on the shelves often do not represent the price. I got jars of malt extract, it said buy one get one half price but the staff member tried to dispute that saying the offer wasn't until Wednesday. Why put the label out in the first place then? hat is the third time this has happened. Ok products.
