The manager is very thorough and professional and I?d highly recommend this Halfords Autocente for motor service. For Management Attention
This is the third time this has happened. As soon as I walked inside, the receptionist walked out, leaving the desk unattended. It felt like he was deliberately ignoring customers, making me wait for 10 minutes. I then pressed the bell, and another staff member arrived.
When I asked why the guy was behaving this way and completely ignoring me?especially since this wasn?t the first time?he responded by saying, "It wouldn?t surprise me; we?ve had many direct complaints from customers."
I then requested to speak with a manager, to which he replied, "Well, he is the manager (Dean), and there?s nothing you can do about it."
@Halfords ? Please treat this as a serious complaint and review your CCTV footage for evidence.

UPDATE - Emily at Halfords feedback/reviews team left a response to my feedback to say "contact us". Well I did, but still a disaster! The Customer Service team had no idea about feedback/reviews team and had no record of my issue. A person call Adarsh said I would be contacted within 48 hours. That was 5 days ago. Still nothing. I had to ask for a name and reference number as not offered to me. And with my experience of Halfords, I know I would be ignored yet Emilys feedback makes it looks like Halfords resolved my issues. Very poor. Was told by the staff at Halfords Unit 4 Bicester Rd, Aylesbury HP19 8BU store to drop into the Halfords Autocentre 3 Gatehouse Way, Aylesbury HP19 8YZ for assistance (just a fuse and trim clip required so not sure why I had to go to a Halfords Autocentre and not just get advise at the store. Store staff showed no interest in helping me) The Halfords Autocentre was open but the chap at the desk (not looking up from his phone) said everyone had gone home and to book an appointment online. Asked if he could assist with some advise on a fuse and door trim. (still not looking up from his phone) he said no. I doubt he was reception staff with no knowledge what so ever of car fuses and door trim clips. Went back to the store another day and again, no interest in advising me, just pointed to the fuses on the wall in the shop. I could not get the fuse box cover back on but the staff left me, in the dark, no lighting, to sort myself out. Drove back home with a loose cover and clipped it back in place using a torch. I still have not got the fuses and trim clip but I will not be going back to either of these stores. I did raise a complaint via the Halfords web site on the 21/12/24, chased on the 31/12/24 and chased again on the 11/1/25 but had no response from Halfords at all. A waste of my time

Would recommend this garage for an MOT

I've been using Halfords Autocentres for many years for mots, tyres and brakes. This year my Kia failed its mot and a rear suspension arm required replacement. Halfords in Aylesbury quoted and booked me in a few days later. After leaving them the car for most of the day I get a call saying that they cant source the part. Appartently they have a limited source of parts suppliers so cant fix the car despite Kia's sharing parts with Hyundai and both not exactly rare on UK roads. Why they couldnt have advised me prior to my dropping the car off or at least told me at drop off that they were having trouble is just poor. They didnt offer to keep trying and rebook the car in. A waste of my time and a very poor effort by Halfords. As someone who has used them for many years and defended their frankly poor reputation, I am disappointed and they've lost a customer. I deleted my previous 5star review.
Oh and the black guy on reception needs some serious customer training. Sitting on your phone, ignoring customers is not good. If its not your job at least tell me that your colleague will be back soon.

Spent over £700 on tyres and booked an available appointment time late afternoon when not at work so I could drive the 30 minutes to the appointment during the week. Got a call before the appointment saying they couldn't do that time as they have MOTs booked. Could I have the tyres done one day and come back the next day for wheel alignment. I can't as I'm working, they offered the following week. Eventually agreed Saturday, so three days later in the middle of the day messing my family day. Appalling. Why take bookings you know you can't honour, expecting people to travel in several days. If you accept the money honour the booking you accepted. I could have gone somewhere else to get tyres done when convenient for me, not them. This is first time I have used Halfords for tyres, never again.

I booked an MOT and service via the website for 8:30 but when I got there they said that was only the drop off time and it might only be ready in the evening. They said they would try and get it ready for 12 and keep me updated but they never called. I returned at 12 and they said they decided to service someone's car before mine after my MOT. This is fine if you have all day and live nearby but I had expected that a slot in the morning would mean a morning MOT and service. This needs to be made clearer on the website, if I'd known I would never have booked.

Google maps took me there looking for engine oil when my warning light came on, they only do tyres but Jamil was kind enough to give me some of his own to get me home, and wouldn?t even take any money for it, really nice guy and great service even to a non-customer! Thanks Jamil!
