: Complaint About Heater and Poor Customer Service at Aylesbury Gatehouse Argos (Inside Sainsbury?s) hp19 8ED
I recently purchased a heater from Argos, unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing.
After using the heater, both my children and I started experiencing headaches, and I also noticed a burning smell coming from it after a short period of use. I live in a container-style home with metal walls, and the heater is simply not powerful or fast enough to warm the space properly. Due to safety concerns and poor performance, I decided to return the item.
When I went back to the store, I spoke politely with the manager?her name was either Ema or Hanna?and explained my concerns. However, she was very rude and dismissive. Instead of helping me with the return process, she questioned me repeatedly about the reason and was argumentative throughout the conversation. I found her customer service attitude completely unacceptable.
I will not be shopping at that location again, and I believe the customer service I received deserves zero stars. I hope Argos will look into this matter seriously, as no customer should be treated this way, especially when raising safety concerns.

Woman working 26.10.24 stated i could not collect my item until after 4pm and demanded I open my emails so she could prove it was after 4pm. I'm there at 3pm. I ordered at 12p. And my email stated collection right away. I proved this and she proceeded to huff and stated she would go and get it. Don't think she likes her job very much and should probably looks towards something behind the scenes.

After ordering a games console using their online service, Argos failed to deliver the item when agreed. I have been given cryptic emails regarding the situation with no details on exactly when this item will arrive. When trying to cancel the order using their telephone contact system I was transferred to a foreign call centre when poorly trained operators with awful command of the English language refused to refund me. Something I am fully entitled too under UK law.
This is essentially, and in true definition, fraud on their part. They have taken payment of nearly £500 and neither delivered nor confirmed when said item will arrive and will not refund when asked. I have now been given 3 different reasons why this is, none of which make sense or are my problem.
My next steps will be to contact my bank to report this as theft and fraud and to hopefully speak to someone in the UK regarding this. Using external call centres is a disgraceful business practice from top to bottom, it showcases how little a company cares about it's customers. Not delivering on a promise for goods or services paid is fraud and theft and is something nobody should have to endure regardless of the sum of money.
I have had issues with Argos in the past but as someone who likes to give others or companies second chances I have once again tried to purchase with them, never...ever, again. I know others are experiencing this issue as I type because the three different people I have spoken too all told me I am not alone in being left without items we have paid for.
Shame on Argos for this, you were once a pinnacle of the UK high street, now you are a shambles hiding in kiosks in supermarkets and a shadow of what you once were. I will get my money back and I will never shop with you again. I strongly advise anyone reading this to purchase elsewhere. They do not care about your custom in any sense of the word. If I could give zero stars I would. Theft is never acceptable or forgivable.

Worst Argos. Not nice service, not helpful, and forget about returning the goods because it is not possible in this store, I do not recommend it.

Ordered washing machine on line and it did not arrive on allocated day so rearranged delivery and yet again it didn?t arrive after we waited in all day. What a shambles. Gave up to date information to call centre and they still got it wrong. Will never go back to Argos in my life. Beware.

Argos never thought this location through. Why didn?t they position the store where Starbucks is? Customers have to walk through to the back of the store to a desk. It is obvious that the warehouse out back has been down scaled because they never have anything ready to collect the same day. I?d rather get next day delivery than get pestered by security on the way out, especially when you use the Sainsbury?s trolley to transport heavy items to the car which viciously lock once leaving, where your told to go to a sainsbury customer service desk to show your receipt to unlock the trolley. Waste of time and I hate going there

Argos in Aylesbury is now rubbish.. Sainsbury's have destroyed Argos.. Shame.. Its now a tiny little collection point in a new sainsburys supermarket, manned by just one staff member, and very little items actually held n stock anymore... No point in it, disgraceful. The old Argos was fantastic, but this... omfg...
