Beware of Triodos Bank: Unjust Account Blockage and Refusal to Release FundsI regret to inform potential customers about the appalling experience I've had with Triodos Bank. My relationship with this bank has quickly turned into a nightmare as they have arbitrarily blocked my account, withholding access to my hard-earned funds amounting to £11,000.The origins of these funds are crystal clear: they derive from my personal PayPal account, a fact I have diligently proven to Triodos Bank with an abundance of evidence. Despite providing more documentation than necessary to establish ownership, the bank remains obstinate, refusing to release my funds.Their lack of cooperation and utter disregard for customer satisfaction is deeply concerning. Not only have they failed to provide a valid reason for the account blockage, but they've also shown a complete disregard for my financial well-being. It's as if they're holding my money hostage without any just cause.I implore anyone considering banking with Triodos to think twice. This institution cannot be trusted to handle your finances responsibly. If they can unjustly block my account and withhold my funds despite overwhelming evidence of ownership, they can do it to anyone.Triodos Bank, consider this your final warning: Release my funds within the next week, or I will have no choice but to escalate this matter with my legal team. It's unacceptable for a bank to wield such power over its customers without accountability or transparency.In conclusion, steer clear of Triodos Bank unless you want to risk being treated unfairly and having your hard-earned money unlawfully withheld.

I've only had the account for two weeks or so and they froze my account! Their customer service is shocking. I've been told they are 'investigating' I am on benefits with two disabled children and they have left me with NOTHING

Fee paying account, rubbish app.Ethical? It's run by a Merchant Venture the opposite of ethical imho. They ripped me off 10k and lied about it ?

The most ethical of banks. Its mobile app is not as advanced as it could be making it not so good for everyday banking but it has some good saving products. It supports community ventures and aims to have a very low climate impact.

Awful customer service. Payments take hours to arrive into the account. Was charged a fee of £3 for my account that opened 2 days previously. Sent money into my account by faster payment and arrived 7hours later.

Worst bank I've ever dealt with! Really wanted it to be good as I was looking for a more ethical bank. Unfortunately, the app is useless and so is the customer service. They aren't able to solve a single issue! Simple transactions such as paying in and out turn out to be a painful process! Just had enough!

Opening an account was simple and from pressing the send button to being approved took about 30 minutes. There are some little quirks with the app but it's more a matter of finding stuff for the first time than any real problem. The internet banking is good (it looks like you have to use a desktop to get full access to all the services - the mobile app gives you just the basics). The account switching service was as pain free as the smooth talking adverts on the TV say it will be. All in all I am very happy that I have moved to an ethical bank. I have not had to contact a human at any part of the process so cannot say how good things would be if something went wrong.

Wont let me transfer my money says investigating for past week now and i have 205 in the account they wont let me have this bank is so unfair and dont trust them

We banked with Triodos for a couple of years and whilst we agree with their ethics, the efficiency of their services (including mobile / online banking) is very poor. We?d find contactless payments would fail c.50% of the time, that ?faster payments? weren?t fast at all (to the point we didn?t use Triodos for any important payment), the mobile app was poor (you often get emails saying ?secure message? but you can only read that by using the full online site, not the mobile site). Finally, when we closed our current account we couldn?t access the money in our saving accounts for a month, because they hadn?t thought to include in their account closure process a notification to ask for new nominated account details. On ringing customer service we were advised we had to send a physical letter, signed, via snail mail, to rectify this! The processes they use are out of date and clunky. Overall we had a poor experience banking with Triodos and the fact they charge you £3 a month for such a poor service is astonishing. We moved to another bank 6 months ago and haven?t had a contactless payment fail since.

Love my Triodos current account & App. Very easy & user-friendly to use. Also love receiving updates on how my money is ethically invested. No brainer - switch banks now!

Nice bank. I agree with most of the positive points already made in other reviews but I just couldn't put up with their rubbish mobile app and online experience. I asked when improvements would be made but the response was a bit vague so I decided to switch to a different ethical bank who have much better tech. I can also use my phone to make payments which Triodos do not yet offer.

WARNING: THEIR SUPPORT IS AWFUL.I sent in an inquiry. Waited 3 days. They replied back with a copy/paste message, it was abundantly clear they did not read the information I gave them (as it already answered the suggests included in their copy/paste message) and they... closed my support ticket?I tried again. The same thing happened, again.I tried a third time, and this time I was told I would have to wait another 10 days (by this point I've already waited 5) for them to "investigate" my issue, both implying that A) they didn't investigate the 2 times they decided to close my support ticket and B) they openly waste your time unless you bother them enough, but be prepared to wait half a month for your support issue to actually get a response from someone who isn't a robot and is willing to actually read your message.So to sum up:1. They wasted 5 days of my time and closed my ticket twice. And then told me I needed to waste another 10 days for them to read the contents of my messages.2. They didn't read what I told them, at all.3. They didn't investigate my query at all and just copy/pasted replies.4. I'm expected to wait 2 weeks in total for them to actually investigate the issue I've informed them about, which they decided wasn't worthy of investigating the last two times I asked them.A bank with a support system this poor that will treat your queries as an annoyance and blatantly not even read your message without closing your tickets on you, is not a bank you should trust with your money.I opted to close my account instead of dealing with it further.
