Not bad but not great Weather spoons judging by the ones I've visited in the past. It's a huge pub but very tired looking. The food was ok. Overall a satisfactory visit

Nice enough place and as usual for all wetherspoons, an interesting and well decorated building with interesting artwork and
great interior design. The service was good, the food was cooked well, presentation is a little lackluster but you're not paying for pretty garnishment. All in all I had a good steak cooked exactly as I ordered. Very happy.

A run-of-the-mill Wetherspoon pub, but with less lairy clientelle than most, despite the contrary evidence in the "Fight night Bristol" YouTube video posted in July 2008. The pub, a former cinema, has a slightly unusual appearance with split level flooring and green girders in the ceiling, from which sculptures of large fish, of various species, are suspended - it's in Fishponds, geddit? There's the usual mixture of table sizes and types, TV and an occasional large screen available, gaming machines, and WiFi ... but at least the bogs are on the same floor, no alpine trek needed. When busy, you may have to scour the tables for any ketchup.

This is a Wetherspoon's pub with a good food menu but the bar service leaves a lot to be desired. Also comes with screaming kids as a lot of pubs do these days.

Am sure weatherspoons can afford to clean the tables a bit more often. Sticky = icky
The food is standard cheap fayre, which is very much appreciated but still, it's pretty mean portioning.
I had the veggie breakfast
Example: A whole of a (small)tomato instead of a half. and more than one (standard size not beefsteak) mushroom on the breakfast would be less mean.
The portion of beans was also just about a heaped tablespoon.
Service was great as always, and plenty of Access ?
£6.50 including refillable hot drinks
I've withheld one for the sticky tables and one for the mean vegetable portions.

On the day I went the Gents toilets smelt like a farmyard & a visit here is certainly eye watering! Employees who do the checks must have lost their sense of smell! Worse is that it drifts into the pub eating area too! This one is just for hardcore drinkers only!!
