“Love this pub tucked away in Bristol. Nice staff, really good decor. One of the best selections of German bottled beers I've ever seen and at excellent prices. Nice seating areas out front and back, clean toilets. I highly recommend seeking the Barley Mow out!”

“Bargain Booze (Southmead Road), featuring exceptionally friendly and polite staff who create a welcoming atmosphere, which sets the tone for a positive shopping experience. Their impressive selection includes both American and Japanese soft drinks (coca cola & fanta), a wide variety of larger, ale, cider, spirits, and unique liqueurs such as “Tia Maria Cold Brew” and “Kahlua”. The staff go above and beyond in customer service, always ready to suggest solid alternatives when items are unavailable too. If you're looking for a great range of beverages (alcoholic & non alcoholic) at reasonable cost, including a decent selection of emergency essentials then this off-licence is a must-visit! I’ve lived in the area for 10 years, these folk are consistent. Much appreciation & respect.”

“Furious that after all the times we’ve visited Bristol this is the first time here. Just the coolest place, food, music and friendly staff. Reading the menu we knew we were in for a treat . The drinks were mixed so well with excellent bar staff to help what rum to pair with food ?? everything was great and can’t wait till our next visit to try something else ?”

“Great store, has the best food and drink for anything. Anything up to American sweets and general chocolate. Good for the money and nice customer service. Every time I’m in Bristol, I go here as it is one of the best corner shops I’ve been to”

“Considering its Bedminster it's not to bad, typical Lidl you go in for a loaf of bread and come out with work boots, a sds drill and some random brand of liquor you've never heard of”

“This is the place for wine. Long history and in-depth knowledge of wine, in beautiful old wine cellar settings. The tasting events are really good and worth their money.Update in March 2024: nothing has changed my opinion. We go regularly to their tastings and keep being wine here. There are often special deals that are worthwhile looking out for.”

“I’ve been buying my Italian goodies from here for 18 years. The fennel sausage is my favourite, great with porcini, sun dried tomatoes in a tomato sauce with rigatoni. Also love the fresh meat deli and fresh olives, anchovies and cheeses are to die for. The smell of fresh basil and imported biscuits and tonno take me back to my time in Italy. I couldn’t do without it!”

“Great team at the store. Did a tasting with a Russ for an event - he chose some great wines despite us having a rather limited budget. Has been super helpful and accommodating throughout.”

“Always friendly staff, the owner vas is amazing, what's even better its 24 hour which there isn't much shops around to get your bare essentials all through the night. I always feel safe even if I'm popping in at 3am”

“Best local shop in the area. Has a wide selection of food, and other useful items that you may need in a hurry. The amount of times I ask myself 'Maybe it's at the corner shop' and they likely always have it!Much more convenient than your usual convent store!Friendly staff also.”

“I love this shop, the staff are amazing and polite especially the manager and they always try their hardest to help. Ive seen them raise money for charity too. Best shop in the area. I think it's funny the bald guy who gave the shop a 1 star as I was in the shop while he was being served by one of the shop staff and I witnessed him abusing her for no reason.”

“I love this m&s, it’s small but has a good variety and a few good vegan options. Traffic can build up coming into the retail park but the m&s does have it’s own car park which is nice. Staff very friendly :)”

“Best cornershop in Bristol! Am very lucky to live so close to it. Has a wall of Arbor Ales (best craft beer on Bristol). Also has a super interesting selection of spirits (Mr Exclusive Drinks). I bought a bottle of mezcal for the weekend and the recipient was *overjoyed* - said they had no idea it was possible to find that bottle from any shop in Bristol :) :) :)”

“Good selection of drinks, often some good stuff that you won't find the neighbouring local convenience stores. I don't find it to be much cheaper than anywhere else, its just the convenience of being open 24hrs. ”

“These guys have been getting some stick, so i think it’s worth adding they have been robbed and their staff attacked several times in the last year or so. This may explain some of the odd opening hours, so it’s worth bearing that in mind before shelling out abuse.

Their prices are slighter higher as ALL local stores are. It’s a known fact that all chains put their prices up at the small stores/petrol stations. I find it well stocked for a corner shop, which is what it is. If you want choice, go to the supermarket or high street!”

“Okay if you need to buy a few items, but unfortunately it's really expensive! The store now sells Safeway products and the quality of the ready meals, fresh produce and the new Safeway branded products has improved markedly. It's still a bit pricey though!”

“One can't help but feel that this is a shop aimed predominately at the student population for the university just up the road. The first thing I notice is shelves of wine for just £2.99 and a wall of cheap beers and lager. Further into the shop one can find a pretty unique idea - stacks of meals in their basic form. That is to say, for example, a bag of rice, some chicken breasts and a jar of sweet and sour sauce all piled together. It is as though the shop keeper wants to train the student how to cook main meals, not happy to simply sell readymade dishes. The rest of the shop is filled with the bread, jam, milk and newspapers that one would expect with the added bonus of delicious old-school 5p and 10p sweets at the counter; Cola Bottles, Flying Saucers and Sugary Snakes. As I mentioned, a student haven.”

“Only way I could post a comment to a review 3 days ago was to write a review myself. Baltic Wharf has a female manager so I don't know who you spoke to but it wasn't the Manager.”
