“The best shop EVER!

Popping into Spar is the highlight of my day - and not just because of the phenomenal snack selection. What makes this Spar so great is the wonderful staff: they’re some of the friendliest, loveliest people I’ve ever met all going above and beyond for their customers. Thank you for always making me smile!”

“Bargain Booze (Southmead Road), featuring exceptionally friendly and polite staff who create a welcoming atmosphere, which sets the tone for a positive shopping experience. Their impressive selection includes both American and Japanese soft drinks (coca cola & fanta), a wide variety of larger, ale, cider, spirits, and unique liqueurs such as “Tia Maria Cold Brew” and “Kahlua”. The staff go above and beyond in customer service, always ready to suggest solid alternatives when items are unavailable too. If you're looking for a great range of beverages (alcoholic & non alcoholic) at reasonable cost, including a decent selection of emergency essentials then this off-licence is a must-visit! I’ve lived in the area for 10 years, these folk are consistent. Much appreciation & respect.”

“This place is amazing. Super friendly, helpful instructors. Small classes full of fantastic equipment. Non-competitive non-judgemental inclusive environment. Top tunes and natural light. I've been going to at least three times a week for over four months - previously unheard of for me, exercise wise. I credit it all to this fab gym. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Furious that after all the times we’ve visited Bristol this is the first time here. Just the coolest place, food, music and friendly staff. Reading the menu we knew we were in for a treat . The drinks were mixed so well with excellent bar staff to help what rum to pair with food ?? everything was great and can’t wait till our next visit to try something else ?”

“Great off licence, the gentleman behind the counter is always friendly, he makes time to chit chat whilst I pay and always says ‘God bless you’. It may only be a small interaction, but I always leave the shop feeling peaceful. I’m not from Bristol, I travel from Swansea for work, but this is my go to shop for whatever I may need. Five stars for this shop and the owner/staff. This isn’t your regular off licence!”

“Decent Tesco, helpful staff but queues get worse every year. You need to employ more checkout staff. Also you always run out of milk on a Sunday. The chuggers are getting annoying.”

“A really friendly local shop and not what we expected at all. They have a really good selection of groceries-not the usual rubbish you get in some small shops. A decent selection of Wines/beer. Frozen foods. Fresh foods. Nice breads and some unusual bits and pieces as well as some newspapers, magazines and the usual chocolate and crisps etc. A pleasant surprise and much easier than going to the supermarket if you just want a few things.”

“This shop has changed so much under new management. It's well stocked, the people are so friendly, it's worlds away from how it was. This is my go to now when I've forgotten to pick up an ingredient.”

“Very friendly, helpful people nice atmosphere.Shop prices can rocket on some items and eventually back to normal just don’t pay the extra and wait , till then buy something else but it is a Tesco’s express so......other than that good experience.”

“This spar is just great, yes it is a bit more on the expensive side, but that is to be expected for a convenience store. They have fresh pastries and bread as well as frozen pastries. There is also a refill section at the back of the store with a milk refill too, much better for the environment! The staff are always lovely and you can find most everyday items as well as fresh veg. They also have a small gluten free selection.”

“Shahid (a member of staff) just made my day. I was trying to get a battery for my brother's Toyota Yaris key fob, as he has his MOT tomorrow and the car wouldn't start (yes, as organised as ever!), due to the immobiliser not being powered (top tip for car owners whose car won't start by the way ; )). Shahid went out of his way to help, calling every local store in Bristol until he found somebody with what I needed for no gain of his own. Shahid man, you have restored my faith in humanity, and encouraged me to show kindness as soon as i can, wherever i can. I can't wait to help the next person i can, what an inspiration, really - thank you so much, big respect and of course - see you soon.”

“Always friendly staff, the owner vas is amazing, what's even better its 24 hour which there isn't much shops around to get your bare essentials all through the night. I always feel safe even if I'm popping in at 3am”

“The Long Ashton Co-op Food store has recently received a makeover and refurbishment and it showed when we called in today. It was bright, clean, spacious and with a great range of groceries. The prices were reasonable and there is a convenient customer car park behind the shop.”

“Great place to get a quick bite to eat! They sell all sorts of food and drink, and something I recommend is cheese and ham slice, which can be eaten warm or cold! The owner is also great, and very helpful. Recommended! Only issue is that there's around a £1 minimum from what I can remember, but it's still great!”

“Such a friendly, welcoming, helpful crew. They make this store my 'convenience store' of choice (there is another one just down the road). Well stocked shop too with sensible prices - the selection of wine is always good (and there's an off licence right opposite ?). My one stop shop.”

“Very friendly staff and nice hot pies and pastries and hotdogs. It would of been a 5 star review but stock always runs out fast and some items appear in store then disappear, never to be seen again.”

“Best local shop in the area. Has a wide selection of food, and other useful items that you may need in a hurry. The amount of times I ask myself 'Maybe it's at the corner shop' and they likely always have it!Much more convenient than your usual convent store!Friendly staff also.”

“I love this shop, the staff are amazing and polite especially the manager and they always try their hardest to help. Ive seen them raise money for charity too. Best shop in the area. I think it's funny the bald guy who gave the shop a 1 star as I was in the shop while he was being served by one of the shop staff and I witnessed him abusing her for no reason.”
