“The best Charity Shop in Henleaze with really helpful and friendly staff, and always good quality items on offer. Prices are really good compared to other Charity Shops on this road. A special mention to the Manager as she will always go above and beyond to assist her Customers.”
“It is a great place recommended by a passerby on the Day 1 we arrived Bristol, while a gentleman asked us what we are looking for. We are so lucky to have rented a home closed to Emmaus. I am totally impressed by the quality and variety of the second hand furnitures and household goods there. I can always find stuffs that worthy to buy. The staffs are very helpful!”
“Lovely shop, and unlike other nearby Barnardo shops, is open on Sundays and has a really decent sized selection of clothes. It's run very professionally, always has good displays and the staff go to some lengths to theme the shop during the year's festivities (Halloween, Christmas etc). It always feels clean and well laid out (no fusty tatt!). Prices are reasonable mostly, sometimes a bit steep but hey, it's for charity! They aren't as cheap as the filton shop prices, but the quality of clothing is a better grade generally speaking.”

“The Prince's Trust building I am familiar with was based on Stokes Croft at the time (around 2011- 2013) but in general, it has been a great experience, and I have many fond memories of the many courses, mentors, programmes, and people I have met.”
“PDSA is a veterinary charity offering care for pets of people in need. The largest charity shop in Staple Hill area, this is the best one for everyday clothes. I can easily find t-shirts and jeans here including some good brands. The shop is nicely laid out with clothes organised by colour first and size second.”

“Visited this charity shop for the first time on 28/06. The lady working there was so helpful and friendly; she checked out the back for more cuddly toys and books for me. Super cheap too, books £1.50 for 3 or 75p each and soft toys only 50p, this is much cheaper than most charity shops. I found lots of childrens books by quality authors. I will be visiting again.”
“I go to the café which is in the same church/building where the food bank is held. I have never used the food bank because you need to be registered, and I don't know how to apply.”
“Being a Home-Start volunteer is the most worthwhile thing I've done. I've met some really brave mums doing amazingly against the odds, and it's a real privilege to support them. The smile lighting up the children's faces when I arrive with my bag of toys stays with me all week.”

“Lubbly Jubbly ,in this small but well stocked charity shop.l often go in because there is a good turnover of stock and some great 'finds' there.Staff always seem to be courteous and pleasant and its central Yate so there are a array of eclectic shops as well as the main brand names.Enough charity shops to shake a stick at but in truth this one is to me a bit special.l do them all,no prejudice from me but we all have a favourite.Go along, browse, buy a bargain you come out feeling that you did your bit for the day,not bad really.”
“Ten years ago my time at penny brohn was a turning point from a dark place to a place where I felt more in control of my journey.
Beautiful, peaceful surroundings cannot fail to inspire mind and spirit as they still do.
A place where you can find peace who ever you are.”
